I have gotten other dresses in smaller sizes but I couldn't put this one on at all
I had rented this dress in advance because I wanted to make sure it fit before my event several months from now. I have weighed the same for the last 15 years and I had similar weight and height to other women who wore this dress in a smaller size. I could not even put this dress on in the 8 and the size 10 I would not be able to sit down in. There is absolutely no give in the slip fabric. I would strongly not recommend it for a pear-shaped woman. I wouldn't be able to wear it in a larger size because then the top would be swimming on me. I will have to look elsewhere for a dress!

Fit like a glove. Maybe slightly too tight, but the 10 would have gaped away when I bent over. All in all very fun to wear!
