RTR Rewards is our customer rewards program that lets you unlock rewards based on how long you have subscribed to an RTR plan. You will automatically be assigned a level based on the number of months you’ve been an active RTR subscriber. When you unlock a new reward, we’ll let you know via email.

You do not sign up for RTR Rewards. Anyone who signs up for an RTR subscription plan will start at the Insider level. Your level is based on the number of months you’ve been an active subscriber. It’s automatic, easy, and makes being a Rent the Runway subscriber even better.

Each level offers exciting rewards and benefits, like major discounts, bonus challenges, birthday gifts, and more. See a complete list of rewards in the table above.

You can redeem your rewards by following the instructions provided with each reward. When you unlock a new reward, we’ll let you know via email. Rewards may also be shared on the RTR Rewards page, the homepage on renttherunway.com, your account or membership settings, or other communications from Rent the Runway.

Rewards may take seven (7) or more days to be added to your member account. You must use your rewards within twelve (12) months of them being added or they will automatically expire or be removed from your account. Therefore, we encourage you to redeem your rewards often so that you get to experience the full benefits of RTR Rewards.

In general, no reward may be returned or exchanged for cash, another product, or gift card. If you return merchandise or cancel an order that you purchased with a rewards discount, you will be refunded the amount you paid, excluding the value of the rewards (and any applicable fees). However, you will not receive a replacement reward and we will not credit the redeemed reward to your account. Note that if you purchase multiple items using a single reward, then the value of your reward is applied proportionality to each item, and returns of any one item will result in a refund of the amount you paid excluding the value of the proportionally applied value of the reward (and any applicable fees).

Beginning in July 2025, you will unlock a free spot in your next shipment when you reach 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and every additional 12 months after that of active membership. To redeem the anniversary free spot, follow the instructions provided via email or in your account. Your 3-month anniversary spot will be awarded as a bonus spot directly into your account. All other anniversary spots will be provided by emailing you a code you can use to add 1 extra spot for free for one month. After that month, you can remove your extra spot in your membership settings before your next bill date if you don’t wish to be charged—or do nothing to keep your additional spot and be automatically charged each month at the full, regular price going forward.

If you saved your birthday in your member profile, you will receive a gift every year on your birthday via email. To redeem your birthday discount, follow the instructions provided in your email.

Occasionally, we’ll run a limited-time bonus challenge, where users can receive perks in exchange for taking a set of actions within the allotted time. When you’ve been invited to participate in a member bonus challenge, you’ll hear about it via email.

Our Customer Experience team will occasionally select Mavens and Icons to receive a gift or other reward at random and reach out via chat, email, or other communications! Many of these are in highly limited quantities, so RTR will award them to some but not all Mavens and Icons, at our sole discretion. Over time, we hope to spread out these rewards across as many of our Mavens and Icons as possible!

Early Access Rewards include:

• Early Access to New Arrivals: Once a user has reached the Enthusiast level and has been an active RTR subscriber for at least 4 months, they will be able to access New Arrivals 48 hours before other members. These new arrivals will be noted by an “Early Access” sticker on the product listing image.
• Early Access to Promotions: Members in the Maven and Icon levels will receive 48 hours early access to monthly promotions.
• Icon-only Offers: Icons will be able to access occasional additional offers, such as promos, partner offers, and more, that are only available to our most tenured members.

Community perks include:

• Exclusive Event Invites: We occasionally invite members in the Maven and Icon tiers to in-person get togethers and digital events! These are usually dependent on region. Make sure to stay tuned via email to see if we’re coming to a city (or screen) near you.
• Icon Collective: We are launching a digital community that is open to members in the Icon tier. Icon Collective is made up of two sub-communities known as RTR Clubs and RTR Council. RTR Clubs is a place for Icons to connect and network with like-minded members, and RTR Council is a small group of Icons who will weigh in on everything from what styles we buy to in-app improvements. These members help shape the future of RTR! Space is limited, so RTR Clubs and RTR Counsel will be by application only, with members selected by RTR. Applications will open the first week of each month. Stay tuned for more as we launch Icon Collective!

From time to time, we will partner with third parties to offer special rewards, discounts and/or gifts as part of RTR Rewards. These partner rewards are for a limited time only, while supplies last. Partner rewards are governed by our partners’ terms and conditions and privacy policies, so please check individual partners for these details.

Yes, all unused rewards will expire after 12 months from the date they were granted, unless otherwise noted. If you do not use a reward before it expires, it will automatically expire or be removed from your account. Therefore, we encourage you to redeem your rewards often so that you get to experience the full benefit of RTR Rewards.

RTR Rewards builds on the success of RTR Insider (beta). Many of the Insider (beta) rewards you loved are included in RTR Rewards, plus even more of the benefits, surprises, events, and community building you’ve been asking for. We hope you love it, and we appreciate your feedback on what’s working and what else you’d like to see!

Your tier status depends on the number of months you’ve been an active subscriber. You will automatically unlock the next tier once you reach the required membership tenure for each level.

• Insider: 1-3 months
• Enthusiast: 4-9 months
• Maven: 10-23 months
• Icon: 24+ months

Thanks for being a loyal RTR subscriber! The level you’ve been assigned is based on the tenure of your RTR subscription as of the launch of our Rewards Program on June 30, 2025. You will change levels as you continue to subscribe, as long as you don’t pause without items or cancel your subscription.

If you choose to pause your subscription, you will retain your tier status, but will not continue to accrue membership tenure. While on pause, you will not be eligible to redeem any remaining rewards, including any free spots, access to events, promotions and any unused services. Any remaining rewards will become available when your member account once again becomes active.

If you choose to pause your subscription with items, you will retain your tier status and continue to accrue membership tenure. But you will not be eligible to redeem any remaining rewards, including any free spots, access to events, promotions and any unused services. Any remaining rewards will become available when your member account once again becomes active.

If you choose to cancel your subscription, you will lose your level and your accrued membership tenure. You will forfeit all remaining rewards, including any free spots, access to events, promotions and any unused services. Resubscribing to the RTR membership will not reinstate your previous tier status or unused rewards, and your member account will be reset.
