This dress fit very well all over, runs very slightly large. The petite was rented out so I had to go with the Regular size, which was still about 1/2 inch too long...the shoes I wore were perfect for it, about 4.5 inches tall. The color is SO UNIQUE...no one else had anything even close to it and people were raving all night. I'd rent this again in a heartbeat. My only complaint was that the bodice wasn't as tight as I was expecting so I was forced to wear a lacy nude bra underneath...not a huge deal but you could see the straps through the back of the dress and a little on the top of the shoulder. Someone with a smaller bust could probably get away with a deep-V strapless if they needed to but the sweetheart neckline was too steep for my regular strapless bra. That being said, everyone was 150% focused on the dress so it didn't matter at all!

The necklace was pretty and in good condition. It was a little too dressy for my event but fit very well and lay nicely on my neck. No damage to the necklace although the charm near the clasp made it difficult to fasten.

Due to circumstances entirely outside of RTR's control, there was an issue with my original order and this is the dress they sent me as an emergency back-up for my birthday party. I'm very top-heavy and have a narrow waist and hips and unfortunately even the size 4 fit me like a sack of potatoes. The built-in-belt was okay but the top was super blousey and the belt didn't fall easily on my waistline. This seemed like it would fit a short woman who is very curvy top and bottom or a tall woman (long waisted, at least) with a large chest. The size 2 may have been a better fit but sadly I was sent a 4 and 6 option the day of the party. I will say it was a great color and it was in perfect condition.

This piece tied together my entire look for a formal, black-tie/red carpet event. The colors blended perfectly with the emerald green Badgley Mischka dress I wore. There was just enough green to tie in with the dress without being too "matchy-matchy" and while unique, it was classy enough to compete with all of the other gowns and jewelry. The chain did feel rather cheap and is very thin but you can't tell unless you are literally holding the necklace in your hands. The chain was a little discolored and could use a little polish but it was a minor detail that was completely overlooked once the entire outfit was put together. Even though it is much smaller than it appears, this is definitely a statement piece and should be paired with bracelet or small earrings. I will add a photo after RTR's website starts working properly again and allows me to post one.

This was actually my back-up dress and I wound up not wearing it. Honestly, in person it looks more like a prom dress than a formal gown. The fit is good, although the top has very little stretch to it so if you're busty, consider sizing up. There was room to more around in the waist and hips and while I was trying it on it was comfortable. If my first dress hadn't wound up being perfect, this would have been an acceptable back-up. However, the event I attended was incredibly formal and fashion-forward and this gown would have been a little less appropriate had I wound up wearing it. I would say it's perfect for prom or a formal NYE dress but not the best option for formal black-tie affairs.

At first, I thought these earrings may be too much when paired with a statement necklace but because of their small size I was able to pair these with an emerald/diamond necklace (the Tuilliers necklace, I believe) and even with my hair pinned up, it wasn't too much. These would also look great with a chunky jeweled bracelet. These are classic earrings with a bit of vintage flair. Accent pieces to pull together a larger look. They are not heavy at all! The top has NO stretch to it so while the 4R was a tiny bit more flattering through the hips/waist, my bust was simply too large to be zipped into it. That being said, RTR doesn't yet offer bust sizes higher than D/DD in their rating system (I'm a G) so if you are busty but not over a DD/DDD you should probably be fine with a 4R if you're narrow through the waist and hips. The 6R held me in tightly, no strapless bra needed! It was a little uncomfortable to sit down in but not tight enough to make me feel uncomfortable while eating dinner. I have pretty short legs and went with 4.5 inch heels, which made the dress perfectly skim the floor. I honestly have to tell you that I have never loved a dress as much as this one and would buy it outright if I could. I paired it with the Tuilliers necklace and Plantation earrings; perfect! I have never received so many compliments at one time as when I put this dress on. Easy to walk in. I felt absolutely flawless in this dress!
