The model must be wearing some sort of hoop skirt, because this dress falls totally flat in reality. It is also quite large and long. I'm 5' 10'' and it was past my knee. It was just not right for a formal affair. A church event maybe, but as a young 20 something this was not okay for a party.

I wore this for my law school ball. It was beautiful. I received many compliments. It looks black/gray in this picture, but in reality it varies depending on the lighting. In some pictures it looks blue, in some black, in many somewhere in between. The arms are wonderful. They are actually very slimming and really pretty b/c it's sheer over the skin. It includes a slip for underneath the dress. It is about 2-3 inches shorter than the sheer top, which means the bottom really shows off the lacey pattern. I have a bit of a belly and this hid it like magic. It really streamlined my body shape. I would rent this again. It did run slightly big, so go a size down and then get your normal size as the backup.

I picked this along with two other styles. This was my first choice from online, but when I put it on I realized I would have to wear spanx. It shows all your lumps, because it is very form fitting. I was not in the mood to wear spanx, so I didn't wear it. However, it felt comfy enough and the color block was slimming. The sleeves are not good if you want to hide arm wiggle.
