I clearly needed the petite length, even with high heels, though that was not available. The waterfall front makes the hem not amenable to temporary hem tape, and it gaped just a little bit on the sides for me. I would have needed it to fit just a bit snugger to go braless. A laceless black strapless push-up bustier might have worked even if it peeked out under the arms just a tiny bit. But it's a great, forgiving, classic and fun style which would have been easy to wear if the length had worked; a black strappy heel and some dangle earring would complete it.
