Really cute dress for spring and day time affairs! I wore it to a baby shower and it was perfect. The fabric is linen with no stretch so be mindful when choosing your sizing. I got sizes 2 and 4 and ended up wearing the 4. Also, like others have said, it is a relatively short dress.. even for me, who’s 5’2”… also, the chest was a little tight for me (34D) but I made it work.

Its a beautiful dress, when you're standing. Not very functional for sitting, walking, dancing, or anything other than standing still and taking a selfie. I got a ton of compliments on it but consistently had to be pulling the interior mesh down, which was super annoying to have to do all night long. Thankfully, it was a Covid wedding so there really wasn't too much dancing involved. The dress also runs HUGE (!!!!!!!!) and the sizing is really off -- I am shocked none of the previous reviews mentioned this! I am *definitely* not typically a size 0 (even less so with this quarantine weight gain), and I am also really short (5'2 on a good day)... I ordered my usual size of a 4 petite (my normal safe size) and a 2 petite as a backup. Long story short, I had to call customer service and have them overnight me a 0 petite and a 0 regular. This dress is super stretchy, and surprisingly short in length. The petite sizes were all awkwardly short with my heels on. I ended up wearing the 0 Regular. Bear in mind that although the dress design is forgiving around the stomach area, it does not make you look skinnier -- the velvet material with sequins packed on top of that is thick and it makes you appear fatter than you actually are. It looked nice in pictures though and made me feel pretty fabulous because it was so sparkly, so that made up for the negatives. Ideally, I would give it 3.5 stars but I rounded up.

What a beautiful dress!!! This was my first time using RTR and I will definitely be back for more events in the future; it was soo easy and I got a beautiful dress! Even my backup style dress (which was also by the same designer as this dress-Marchesa Notte) that I got for free was beautiful as well— I was so sad I couldn’t wear it but hopefully I’ll have the opportunity to rent it again. I am usually fluctuating anywhere between a 2-6 in dress sizes (usually just 2-4 but if it runs really small I get a 6) depending on the cut, fabric, fit, etc. I believe my TRUE size is a 4 so maybe this dress runs a little on the larger size because I ordered a 4R as my size and I got the 2R as my free backup size; I actually ended up wearing the 2R to my event. The 4 fit well but the 2 just sucked me in a little tighter so that’s why I went with that size. Loved the dress! Got so many compliments and everyone flooded my inbox asking where it was from after I posted pictures on Facebook and Instagram of me in the dress. Definitely recommend.
