The top definitely fit on the bigger side, and the hips fit pretty true to size. It is an extremely flattering dress, and I felt very comfortable in it. If in doubt, order one size up; even though the hips fit true to size, the dress was a little snug in my hips in my normal dress size, so I wore the 8R instead.

This dress is gorgeous, structured perfectly, and I would wear it again. I got many compliments. The top of the dress does run small, so I would definitely order a size larger than you are. I had just had a baby about three weeks before the event, so I may not be the best judge, but if I were to order this dress again I would order a size up and then two sizes up from what you regularly wear.
