The torso was short for me (I don’t have a long torso though I’m tallish) and where the waistline fit was super awkward. It made me look like I had a huge belly. The overall fit was roomy. Yikes!

Lots of compliments when I wore this to a post-rehearsal dinner get together. But I felt like the medium was small on me. The waist seemed high and I think I just needed a little more room. I couldn't spare a bra, so instead I fashion-taped the slip to close the bottom half of the opening so that my bra wasn't visible.

I adored this dress so much at the Labor Day wedding I rented this for the first time around that I rented it for another September wedding. Great length for me for dancing, seated, enough width for dance moves. :) I've found some of these lace shifts to be too roomy in the stomach but I loved the fit of this one. Lace is perfectly soft and not itchy. I can be a 10 in some dresses but the 8 was a much better fit. Paired with Slatte & Willow necklace.

These are not for the faint of heart. I wore them longer than I wore my three inch heels that night, but they sure felt great take off! Glammed up my black lace wedding outfit instantly!

As usual, I loved my RTR pick. But the other reviewers are not kidding: the waist is enormous. I know, you're probably thinking "well that's great, then I can eat an extra piece of wedding cake", but it is bigger than that. I wanted to pin it (belting didn't look quite right on me). Lovely fabric and feel, just not as flattering as I would have liked given the extra room. The smaller size was too short on me for wedding dancing to happen as fearlessly as I prefer. :)

Rented this for a black tie optional wedding. Felt like "too much" when showing up at the afternoon ceremony, but as the night wore on, fit right in. I don't think I would rent this again though, because the sequins were really itchy, especially against the dangling sleeve.

I wore this to a company holiday party in a very elegant setting, and this fit the bill. It is a show stopper for holiday parties, and I never received more compliments. Beaded without being heavy. You could wear tights, but I opted not to. I am tall(ish), and this did not feel too short even for a work event. I am sensitive about high necklines not being flattering to my bust - no worries with this dress because it hung beautifully. I would rent it every weekend if I could. :)

Wore this at a summer indoor evening wedding. It ran larger than other Yigal dress I have rented. Still workable, of course, since this cut is forgiving in sizing in general. I loved how this dress traveled; it got some wrinkles in the process of flying, but you couldn't tell. This cut would flatter almost anyone. Forgiving in the waist and flattering elsewhere.

Love the cut-outs. Unfortunately, this was ill-fitting all around. The sleeves were too big, i.e. the straps kept falling off my shoulders and I've never had this issue with any piece of attire before. And boy, I hoped that I didn't have to bend over, because it would have been tricky!

I have rented this twice for work holiday parties and would rent again and again. This can definitely be dressed up or down. I was sensitive about the clinging factor on the bum, but assured it was not inappropriate. I would consider that if you're sensitive to that. It felt slightly short for me, but I would rent again and again. You can definitely wear with tights, or without, and either look works great.
