I wore the larger size (12) even though the smaller size (10) fit well - more form-fitting obviously - because I was nervous about officiating a wedding and didn't want to think about how my dress was fitting. It looked amazing - nice lines, understated, flattering. My only hesitation was that I knew it would be a warm day, and it was a heavier material, but though the weight made it look fabulous - no bunching - it didn't make the dress hot. I would rent it again.

I was assigned the character of Marilyn Merlot for an annual murder mystery party (my husband, also pictured, was Ralph Rottingrape); this year's took place at the "Underwood Wine Estates," and it was recommended that I wear a formal, sequined dress. Thinking that our friends would decorate with grapevines, I chose this dress as the ivy made a perfect grapevine and seemed appropriately over-the-top for my character. I ordered the 12R as I knew I wouldn't be in heels though I imagine most people would prefer the L. Though I also received the next size up, I did not need it. Like other reviewers, I also didn't need to wear a bra, which was a very pleasant surprise. As with other women who rented this dress, I found it incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. It was incredibly flattering, and I received many compliments. It's a fun dress!
