I was attending my first black tie event and wanted to look really sophisticated. The dress I got had clean lines and was very simple, so I thought a "statement" necklace was a good idea—but I ended up not wearing it. The necklace was too big to sit where I thought it would look nice, plus, it was just a little gaudy. I ended up wearing a simple strand of sparkle and a real diamond cocktail ring of my grandmothers. Bottom line, this necklace is alright, if you're into that sort of thing.

The dress, overall, was great. The sizing—was weird. I ordered 0L and a 2R and the 2R was both WAY too short and felt even smaller than the 0L. It's was a little tight in the chest, but lucky I have a pretty small bust (32/34 B) so it wasn't an issue. I typically wear either a 2 or 4 dress—but like everyone knows, sizes vary across brands. I was concerned about the cut of this dress, and based on other reviews, thought it might run big. I still don't *really* know how it runs, except short—so I would recommend the long, as it seemed a lot more appropriate for it to drag just a bit on the ground, with the 2 1/2 or 3 inch heels I wore, than to be above the ankle. Overall, I probably would have preferred a 2L, as it was a touch tight in the bust and arms, but really liked it and it was pretty comfortable and super elegant. The swooshy things around the hips are a little weird, but also make it a little more flattering and gave me a little extra curve.
