This was my backup dress and based off other reviews I chose a size 6. I normally wear a 4. The shape is flattering and I liked the fully adjustable straps! I typically can’t go without a bra (I'm 32DD) - there was space for one but it wasn’t necessary. If you have a butt it will hug nicely and look good with the flounce hem. I might have been able to fit into the 4, but it would’ve been fitted. I’m 5’0” and this was about mid-shin on me. The zipper was hard to do. The first time I tried it on I needed someone else to do it. After that I was okay by myself with a lot of force. I wore this to brunch the day after a wedding. It was easy to dress down with flats and a colored sweater. The base is cream (not beige or tan like a couple other reviews said). Because it’s cream, I think it could be acceptable to wear to a wedding but personally I don’t think I would. I liked the cute pattern and loved the cut. It was a hint of vintage, not over-the-top-retro. It was easy to move around in and not heavy at all! I even wore it on my flight home and it was really comfortable.

I rented a 4 and 6 because I’m usually a 4, but ended up wearing the size 6. The size 4 would have fit but my chest was too big (size 32DD) and there was no way the zipper could close because of my boobs. The 6 fit well and the material was supportive so I don’t even need a bra. The only problem was now the shoulder was a little too loose so the dress slid down and exposed side boob on both sides. I used fashion tape to tape the dress to my skin and it worked and stayed in place all night. I'm short (5'0") and this was mid-shin on me or slightly lower. I loved this dress. It was comfortable to wear because the waist had some stretch and the material felt nice but wasn’t heavy at all. Showed a little skin but was appropriate for a wedding. Lots of compliments and I felt so pretty!
