Cute, casual, with a surprising back.
A cute and casual dress I wore for my birthday this past year. It was a nice lightweight dress for summer with a surprising flowy cape back.

Lovely Lace - Terrible Zipper!
I absolutely LOVE this dress! However, it's not without its issues. The size medium fit me like a glove, however, it took more than an hour to get the zipper up - and let's be honest, that is ridiculous! I ended up wearing the Large because the zipper went up much more easily, but then that meant it was a bit too large in the shoulders and that the v-neck went below my rib cage. Had to stand up really straight all night and pinned the neckline in to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. The Large also made me look a little bit wider on the bottom because of the shape of the skirt. But honestly, I still felt like a million bucks in this dress. It is one of my favorite rentals to date and received so many compliments and my family told me I should buy this one! If you are in between sizes or getting a back-up, go a size up for sure and expect the zipper to give you problems, no matter what size you end up wearing.

Cute dress that runs pretty big. The fabric and cut allow it to still lay quite nicely so that you don't feel like you are wearing a sack. I loved the print on this and found it to be absolutely adorable. This was my birthday rental and wore it to a fancy new restaurant in town and found it to be perfect for the occasion. This is one I wouldn't mind owning!

Cute for TALL people!
The dress is very long! I am 5' nothing and it was at least 8 inches too long. Even with 4.5" heels on I was stepping on the dress. This was a backup and I did not end up wearing it. The 4 fit perfectly, and I usually wear a 6 or 8 in most RTR dresses. It's a gorgeous dress and the cutouts made it a bit more fancy than a normal maxi. My husband was not a big fan of the embellishment in the neck area, but it was pretty. I'd recommend this dress - if you are 5'5" or taller!

Sexy chic!
I really enjoyed wearing this dress for my husband's work fundraiser. It was something out of my normal silhouette and I was nervous, but all fears were alleviated when I slipped it on. This dress fit well, though maybe a tad bit big. I ordered my usual size 6 and sized up for my backup. I wore the 6 and honestly could have probably fit in the 4. Like many others who have rented and reviewed this dress, I felt that the polka dots were extremely faded and in some parts (around the elbows and on the chest) were practically nonexistent, hence the 4 star rating. However, since they were faded all over, it just appeared to others that it was intentional. The sleeves are a bit long - but I'm also quite short and I didn't find this to be too big of an issue. There is enough structure that I didn't need to wear a bra (I'm a 34C), although you could easily wear a strapless bra if you'd like. I was able to dance in this all night long with minimal pulling down. The material is thick and the dress is well made and nicely lined. I felt sexy, yet chic at the same time and my husband told me how great I looked every chance he got. Thanks for another great experience, Rent the Runway!

Charming Lace - Nice LBD
This dress was a back up after my original pick was not available to ship. The fit was very flattering and effortless - no fussing with it at all throughout the entire wedding/reception /after party. I think this is the best attribute of the dress, as I did a lot of dancing and never once did I have to adjust this dress in any way. I didn't need to wear a bra - although a normal bra would have worked fine. It was perfect for the occasion - a wedding at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, FL where lots of black, navy and lace were worn. I would not say that this dress is a "wow factor" type of dress, which is really the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. I wore it with simple pearl earrings, a couple of bracelets and some bright blue pumps for a pop of color. Plenty of ways to accessorize.

Short!
I wanted to wear this dress for a wedding held at an art gallery - as the bold print seemed very fitting. Unfortunately, the dress was WAY too short. And I am 5 ft nothing. It fit tight in the bottom portion and very loose up top. The shoulders fell off and the bottom rode up - so much so, I lifted my arms and my cheeks came right out! Definitely not a dress for dancing in and the fit was definitely just off. Needless to say, I did not wear this to the wedding.

It is a beautiful dress and the details are incredible.
Overall, I felt like I really needed a 4 on the top and a 6 on the bottom. I had a lot of the gaping issues that I read in some of the other comments. I'm pretty short, so maybe if I had a longer torso this wouldn't have been such an issue; I'm not sure. For someone who has been described as having "swimmer's shoulders," this dress was very flattering on the top. It just didn't seem to fit me quite like I had hoped - a bit big in areas, a little bit tight in others. My husband loved it and made me feel beautiful - so that's ultimately all that matters, right!? :)
