I wore this dress to a holiday cocktail party in NYC. Many of my husband's colleagues and associates were going to be in attendance, so I needed a dress that wasn't revealing, but pretty enough to turn heads. This dress did the job beautifully. It has absolutely no presence on the hanger, so I was nervous when I first pulled it out of the garment bag. But when I put it on, wow! It made my waist look tiny and accented what needed to be accented. I had no issues with the zippers on the sleeves, and they did not poke into my arms like others had said. The sleeves are narrow, but I had enough room to move around comfortably. The dress itself is very comfortable, though there is no stretch to the fabric. I agree that it runs on the big side, and I probably could have worn a 4, but I always size up when renting, just in case. Each brand sizes differently, and I'd rather the dress be too big than too small. The 6 was fine. I'm 5'7", and the front hem hit maybe 3 inches above my knee, which is shorter than I usually go, but the longer back hem kept it from being inappropriate. I wore it with the Kendra Scott Phoenix necklace and a pair of nude strappy heels. This color is extremely flattering, and I think it would complement any complexion. Highly recommend this dress! The necklace was perfect! It set off the red dress I wore beautifully. The only other jewelry I wore was a pair of small gold hoops. My husband never notices my accessories, but he noticed this! A man at the party said that he would love to buy it for his wife! It added just enough sparkle without being a major "statement" and taking over the whole ensemble. But it was unusual enough to garner many compliments. I just loved it and would wear it again in a heartbeat.

I ordered the 6 and the 8, and the 6 fit like a glove. There was extra room in the waist, but I fixed that with a small jeweled belt. I didn't find the sleeves to be tight. The dress hit right below my knee, so a beautiful high heel made the dress flattering and sexy without revealing much skin. My husband absolutely loved it! I felt totally appropriate for his company holiday party, where dress is always a mixed bag (suits to cocktail dress). Can't go wrong with DVF - many compliments. Thanks RTR!
