Takes some maneuvering but very elegant
I don’t usually gravitate toward form-fitting styles, so I was pleasantly surprised that, out of several dresses I ordered to try, this was the one I chose. I’m typically a bit self-conscious about my hips (I’m smaller on top and curvier on the bottom), but the straight neckline and fitted waist/hip area ended up being really flattering on my shape. That said, I do have a few critiques: 1) It takes some maneuvering (as the title suggests) to get everything sitting right. The zipper is inconveniently placed under the left armpit, which can create some odd bulging unless you adjust the bodice just so. The sleeves were also quite snug on my upper arms, so I had to twist them around a bit to get the shoulders to sit properly. Once everything was in place, though, the drape of the dress looked really elegant imo 2) The tag is in the WORST POSSIBLE SPOT. I love the way the back of the dress is open, but the tag is stitched right in the center and fully visible. If you owned the dress you could just cut it out, but as a rental it’s a bit unfortunate. (I guess it’s great brand visibility, though?) 2) The button that fastens the back strap across the shoulders is pretty flimsy. I ended up using a safety pin, which worked fine and stayed put, but it was definitely a little annoying. Overall, it’s an elegant dress and very flattering so I’d recommend it if you don’t mind putting in a little extra effort to get everything just right.
