Utility Shirt Dress

A bit small in the waist, but super thick fabric with great details throughout. Get it!

The color is beautiful. The fabric is thick. Which worked in my favor as San Francisco is always a little windy and chilly. I also experienced the itch but it wasn’t overwhelming for me. I worn it as a dress to work and (following the example of another renter) as a jacket over jeans and a tank top to brunch. It was stunning both ways. For the tall ladies- the lowest button fell as the base of my torso. Sitting & walking at the office was a tad risqué.

This dress is beautifully made and fit very nicely. I have slim hips, so the straight cut suited me, but someone with more curves would likely prefer sizing up. The belt is a bit off— the belt buckle is off centered when the belt is tightened to match the dress’s waist. I received so many compliments and felt very put together all day. The fabric is heavy which was very helpful when I was outside with 40mph wind gusts all day. It also did not wrinkle during hours of sitting.

I should’ve listened to the other reviewers who said this was itchy - it is very much so! I usually wear a size 4 and this was a tiny bit small. The front also gapes open when you sit/walk so I was constantly having to readjust. I did get a lot of compliments and liked the look but would recommend wearing a slip underneath.

I was really excited to try this dress because I love green and it seemed promising. I got a 0 because usually I’m either a 0 or 2 but assumed fit-wise I’d be more of a 0 — I didn’t listen to the reviews and should have… I found it to be a really boxy look, especially with the shoulders. I was disappointed that it was too small in the chest for it to work for me — the proportions just felt off overall (also the belt was waaay too long and I didn’t know how to tie it and make it look cute). I was sad that I couldn’t even wear it out because I know it would be gaping in the chest. I really wanted it to work!

It's true to size, MAYBE go a size up for a baggy look but I'm not sure why other reviews say it runs 2-3 sizes too small... it's tts. Last note, the shoulders are big? I have larger shoulders and this was definitely "oversized" in the shoulders.

The material is a nice wool but it is very thick and somewhat itchy. It is a flattering dress but despite being short sleeved it really should not be worn when it is warm out. I was a sweat factory all day.

First, it is not lined. Very itchy. I did not wear it. The shoulders were so very broad, but the total shape did not balance out. I did not find it flattering.

Delighted to get a chance to wear Victoria Beckham. Such quality and styling. Please note the sizing is in UK sizing. This may account for so many people believing that it runs small. I enjoy structured garments and dramatic shoulders so this was perfect for me.

I love the dress but I cannot even button it. It’s way too small. I ordered an 8. I am normally a size 4. I’m not sure how to size this one. Super cute tho

I ordered up as suggested but should have gone two sizes up - the chest is tight. Gorgeous color, marvelous material - the quality is there. Would try and re-rent but 2 sizes up.

I ended up wearing this as a jacket with a white T and boyfriend jeans....I sized up and it was still tight in the chest.

Rented this for work - loved the colour and the design, BUT - it runs small. I was the first to rent it and took the size recommended by RTR, but wish I had gone up a size - it is really, really tight in the chest - pure wool and itchy. If it wasn’t so tight, I would have used a slip under it.

So many reviews about this dress being super small so I though the 10 would be great bc it’s at least a as larger than my usual. However, when it arrived I realized it was a UK 10, which is a US 6. Come on, RTR. If you’re going to deviate from US sizing as default, call it out. I would have know UK 10 is too small

Nice color, liked the design. Wore it a couple times and liked it, but it is a bit stiff and itchy so I didn't love it.

While I loved the look of this dress and the color, the fabric was a bit itchy! Okay for one time wear but not comfortable for multiple wears.

Loved the color so much, the material is scratchy and the fit is a big boxy, not super flattering when you are moving because it doesn't move well with you, but cute if you are standing still.

Ran small on me. It fit OK but the chest area was pulling. It’s a very nice dress though. A tiny bit itchy.

not terribly comfortable, a tad bit itchy. top button was a bit snug when seated, but fit well everywhere else. surprised by the o.g. price tag, doesn't seem especially well-made, but perhaps she's just showing her age

Really loved this color and design. Wore a L and with a 31" waist, the belt had about 3-4 inches before the first hole to close the belt.

Dress is very slimming but as the other reviews indicate fabric is itchy. The belt is also hard to manage it is affixed, the buckle parts move and can come out of place, and it is extremely long (Fully wrapped around me twice)
