Ruben Midi Dress

This dress was very easy to wear. I wore it to work and on vacation.

I wore this dress all day while walking around on vacation. Switched my shoes for dinner. It was very flattering on and helped give me a waist. I used a little double sided tape to make sure the buttons around my bust didnt open up. A lightweight denim, easy for travel!

This dress has amazing details, but if you’re petite it’s probably not the best choice. I still gave it 5 stars for style design. It’s TTS but the length isn’t ideal for me at 5’3” - I absolutely HAD to wear 5” heels. I had hoped I could unbutton a few of the bottom buttons to create an illusion of showing more leg, but most of the buttons are SEWN CLOSED! Only the bottom 2 can be opened. The top buttons can be opened from the waist up, there’s a hook and a zipper at the waist and the buttons are sewn closed except the bottom 2. A little disappointing - NO POCKETS! The tapered waist and exaggerated shoulders are great details that all of you TALL ladies will enjoy.

This dress fit perfectly and goes from work to dinner. The chest / bust area could be slightly snug if you have a larger bust. Loved it so much that I keep rewearing!

Loved this dress, if you're busty be prepared that the girls will be out. I wore this to dinner in cape town in the summer so it was the perfect structured dress but not too hot.

I loved wearing this dress. It's super comfortable and the pleating at the waist makes it very flattering. I just wish it had pockets.

Typically a size 4 (sometimes a 6) and the 6 fit well but I probably could've sized down to a 4. Loved the weight of the fabric - super flattering and got lots of compliments. Would purchase if it wasn't so expensive!

Absolutely loved this. Perfect for a more casual conference setting. Polished enough to look professional but comfy enough to go from airport to sessions to happy hour. Would rent again in spring.

The fit details on Veronica Beard garments are so intentional, they really elevate a seemingly basic dress! From the extra fabric in the arm hole to prevent any visible bra bands underarm, to the zipper with hook and eye closure at the front (hidden under the buttons on the skirt) to prevent gaping across the hips and waist…this dress is anything but basic! I wore it all day- sitting, standing, driving in the car, and the weight of the fabric was substantial enough that it didn’t wrinkle easily! Photo was after I got home all day- still looks fresh!

This was great for everyday activities. It was slightly tighter in the waist giving a flattering silhouette. A lightweight denim but still denim nonetheless making it slightly hot for warmer weather. Very little stretch in the fabric as well. Will probably rent again when it’s cooler out.

Dressed down a bit for work with sneakers but could definitely have dressed it up. Really comfortable and cute. A little tight in the bust for larger chest (G/H)but the buttons didn’t gape noticeably.

Have worn this so many times. Finally bought it. It wears well and is incredibly flattering. The denim is soft and doesn’t wrinkle.

Loved the construction of the dress and the attention to detail. Loved its simple elegance. My one downside was that the chest / stomach button space would separate a little while sitting, not in a way that made it uncomfortable though.

Photo is to show how buttons and zipper works. The bottom 2 buttons are functional, then they are sewed shut over a zipper. That's nice for coverage and not worrying about the buttons pulling open across hips, but it does add a little weird bulk. They maybe needed to use lighter fabric to line it? It also needed pockets desperately. Lighter denim has been great even on hot summer days. Love the sleeves. It's extremely comfortable. I wanted to change into it after work, even when I didn't wear it to work. It did gape a little on my chest and I pinned it for work.

I loved this dress. I found it fit a bit large overall but it didn’t bother me. I wore it so many times. It’s such an easy everyday dress. I wore with both white sneakers and fancier sandals. I am a VB fan and this dress is no exception. Well worth a rent!

A little ladylike but very comfortable. I really would have liked it better if it had pockets.

There are buttons and a zipper in the front of the dress. Good material and it.

Could have used a petite but it still worked. Wore for a casual day of work. If the weather wasn't changing, I'd wear on the weekend too.

This dress is SO close to perfection. The fit is wonderful. Super flattering. My one issue (as shown in the picture) is the dress pulling in the middle section. There was plenty of room in the dress but still did not sit flat.

This was overall too small in the bust area. The buttons were being covered by the sweater on purpose.

I tried to make this work on a cold day, but it just wasn’t working. The hook and eye closure was bumpy and didn’t lay flat for me and my chest was popping out of this one. Made it work for a day at school. This one was just an “eh” for me.

Love this take on denim! The material is super soft, comfortable to wear & is perfect for work or a summer night out.

This dress needs a belt or something- the material is very soft but the shape did nothing for me.

Fit perfectly

Wore this for a work garden party and received so many compliments. It was perfect for a work event. It ran slightly loose but if I had sized down it would've been too tight. Highly recommend this dress!!!!

I loved this dress. It's a nice weight and can easily be dressed up for work or dressed down for more casual activities. Would love to rent again.
