Needed spanx and it form fitted. However, I wore it to dinner and the opera and was quite comfortable for the 5 hour date night. Received so many compliments. It’s a gorgeous dress.

I’ve never gotten so many compliments on a dress. If drop waist makes you nervous, try this dress and you’ll completely change your mind! Extremely flattering, very comfortable, and the perfect amount of ruffles to give your look a little drama. Wore this to a cocktail/semi formal outdoor wedding and it was perfect.

I loved this dress! (And so did everyone else.) As others have noted, the fabric was heavy, but it was also beautiful -- cotton but a very elegant cotton. The dress is versatile -- casual if necessary, but dress-up if wanted. And easy to wear. Overall, it was just really elegant. I felt great all night.

Absolutely gorgeous. Mid-calf on model/ankle, almost floor on me -- but worked beautifully. And the arm openings were NOT too wide, which is often a problem in a regular fit vs. petite. Fabric is super soft and the layers on the bottom half formed a beautiful silhouette. I got SO many compliments. Paired it with neutral, strappy heels and green velvet clutch (also a rental). Bag was just the right pop of color to break up the magenta/plum. There's also a touch of green in the dress fabric, but not enough to feel too matchy. Great for summer wedding or any cocktail/black tie!

Loved the fit, I'm 5'0" so this was a floor length dress for me, but not too long. I'm an athletic build with small chest and broad shoulders. I typically wear a medium in leggings and probably a 4 or 6 in pants and shorts. Shirts are usually medium. I also loved the dress material (cotton, not stretchy). It was very light and not hot. The dress was so perfect, I've been trying to buy one used online.

It was extremely comfortable and fit like a glove! Got many compliments and enjoyed dancing the night away with all the movement in the dress!

I found it ran a bit big. I added a belt for waist definition. The dress isn't light but has a gorgeous bottom.

Came with the tags still on and was such a comfortable, but fun wear. Tons of compliments at the gala I wore it to!

Wore it to my niece’s wedding in cottage country Canada, and loved it. It was heavy enough for a chill evening and super fitted that it was sexy, but also the layers of ruffles to the floor gave it a fun party vibe. It was kind of part flamenco, and red carpet.

As soon as input this dress on, I knew it was the one I was wearing for a black tie optional wedding. It was SO comfortable and the pattern was the perfect pop of fun/color I wanted. The 4 fit me perfectly (5’2” 34C 130ish lbs) - just a smidge longer than photographed but was still off the floor in 2” heels.

So comfortable! I’m breastfeeding and self concious about my chest, so I wanted something I could wear a sports bra with - this reigned me in and let me dance comfortably all night! Lots of colors in the dress meant that I had many options for accessories and bags allready in my closet.

This dress was worn to an evening gala. The pattern was vibrant, and the ruffles on the skirt were flouncy in a fun way. Size 6 was a neat fit, but I like my dresses a bit looser so I could have sized up for more comfort, especially since there is no stretch in the fabric and the neckline was higher that I prefer. The skirt is quite heavy, so beware if going to the bathroom in this dress. Otherwise, I enjoyed wearing this and received several compliments on the dress.

I wouldn’t typically like a drop-waist dress, as I’m more pear-shaped and still postpartum, but this was so cute and fun! The fabric is substantial but not hot, and formal enough for a formal (but prob not black tie) wedding. I wore my usual size and had a size up for backup. I also appreciated that I could wear a regular bra!

This dress was perfect! I attended a derby and it was the perfect breathable fabric. I received compliments all day. I could almost get in the size 6 but because it has no stretch I had to size up to the 8.

The dress is beautiful and very flattering, even though I’m a few pounds heavier than normal. I ordered two sizes, and the smaller one worked great.

I wanted a fun dress that did not require a special bra or high heels for a formal spring wedding. I tried at least 12 dresses before this beauty arrived, new with tags. The fabric is sumptuous, and the rich colors are springlike and a welcome change from black. Although the cut is designed to hit above the ankle, I was determined to find a dress that would work with flats, which this one did. The neckline was perfect for my classic necklace and not too "fancy" to look out of place with a man wearing a suit (instead of a tux).

I have always loved the fit and feel of all things Ulla Johnson and this dress was a wow! Heavier fabric quality with the layers was so stunning and could honestly be dressed up or down . Perfect for a spring day and fall girl approved .

I loved this dress and wore it to the ballet and a luncheon. The silhouette is fancy with a princess drop waistline and a retro feel, but the fabric is more casual giving it versatility. It is heavy, and I was bummed she didn’t squeeze in pockets in all this fabric. But I was sad to return her!

Came new with tags and was absolutely perfect for an outdoor gala for the Alamo. Got so many compliments and felt super confident.

This dress was so flattering. I’m a typical 2 and found the 2 to fit just right. If you’re 5’3” like me, it likely won’t be hitting mid calf. More like low ankle. But I still loved it.
