I typically wear a size 2, I rented a 4 but that was too big, I think this is true to size

Wore this for a work dinner with customers. Wasn’t trying to wow anyone and I definitely didn’t. With that being said, I still wore it even with other options to choose from. Waist is just a bit big. Would size down!

I liked this dress, but didn't love it. The fabric is luxe (and good for winter), and although the fit was loose I didn't find it necessary to size down because the waist could be adjusted by tying the front tie tighter. I didn't love that the waist smocking was visible above the front tie no matter how tight you tied it. Overall, fine-- just not a stunner (though I liked it more with a fun heel).

I loved this piece. I wore it to a work event with small wedges and it looked excellent. Obviously the style is oversized, so I expected it to be large...just worked with it. Would totally rent again.

Dressed it up with gold earrings. The tie in the front is such a fun flare to an ordinary black dress!

The reviews are all over the place, but I loved this dress. The tie front was a nice detail on an otherwise standard shirt dress. The fabric was pretty heavy--I plan on renting again in fall. No pockets, but I'll survive. The elastic waist defined the waist nicely.

I should have ordered my true size of an 18 but I was skeptical at the sizing and ordered a 20. It has a dropped shoulder and super cute tie waist detail. Paired with sneakers to keep this shirt dress casual.

I rented this dress for work. This piece would not be good on shorter girls, as I believe it would drown them out. Being 5'10 and rather skinny it worked well on me; but even in the photos, the piece does not necessarily flatter. It ties nicely around the waist, but due to its elastic waist ends up slipping down and looks the hugged wrap look. Moreover, the size 4 was large on me in every area but the arms; I would love to order a size 2 but I don't think the arms and shoulders would work then! You have to really embrace a more casual vibe for this one and be okay that it may be a bust upon ordering (or conversely, roll with the punches, and style it with some cute earrings, tie it tight, and wear with confidence!)

I really wanted to love this dress. The material is rich, heavy, and feels high quality — perfect for cooler weather or a winter event. It has a classic, elegant vibe that could easily be dressed up with heels or down with boots. If you’re curvier through the midsection or prefer a more structured waistline, this one might not be the most forgiving cut. If the tie belt was higher up could help define the shape better, but overall the design doesn’t leave much room for customization.

Runs large, I am a 4-6. Totally awkward drape and elastic (non)waist. My husband said No, don't wear it, I knew already but it was reinforcement to bag and ship this dress right back. Did not wear.

I'd rent this again. Super comfy. Loose but professional. The only thing is that the front tie is too loose to cover up the elastic waistband behind it so you'll need to plan time for pinning!

very flattering. could of probably sized down, otherwise had to make sure front sash/belt was pulled a little tighter so it didn't droop.

Almost bought it. This is such a nice, comfortable, flattering, high quality dress. We all need a black dress like this for certain situations - long sleeves, longer length, more conservative. It is a heavy fabric but I like that it keeps the dress hanging well.

Will rent again. Got great. Love the thick material (winter) and the collared top. The now took some time to get tied just the right way.

Great dress. I wore it with booties and went more casual as a work dress. Could easily be dressed up as well. I would rent this again.

Ran a little big overall, but works for me, since I prefer that to too tight. Great drape, perfect in transitional weather.

The gathering didn’t really snatch my waist and in fact, the bulk of the wrap fabric just added volume to my belly. Not my favorite look from RTR.

A little baggy and the tie was weird

Rented it for a cute date night look. Ended up feeling like the dress had too much fabric and gave a really poor fit. The top part was cute but with the fabric at the waist, gave me feel like a fancy beach ball.

I rented this dress as one of my options to wear at Thanksgiving. I liked it but not for that specific function - has more of a business women feeling! Would rent it again!

So hot and heavy, doesn’t breathe at all. Had to take it off after two minutes as I couldn’t stand the feeling. Fit was cute tho.

I thought this would be a great work outfit but the material is kinda glossy and somehow contributed to it looking kinda boring.

A black hole. This thing will swallow up any feature or figure you might have. Sadly, it's not even the trendy kind of oversized. No pictures for you - too disappointing to even share. I ordered for a work event and could not wear at all.

This dress is made beautifully. I felt it ran a touch big but the nice thing is it can be adjusted thought the waist ties. I didn't like that if you don't tie it right you can see the elastic though! I paired this with some flat black boots and it looked amazing!

I loved this dress so much!! It was so chic and comfortable. I usually order an 16/18 depending on fabric type and I knew this one wouldn't have any stretch, so I went with an 18, it was very comfortable, but I could have sized down to a 16 and had a little less fabric. But you can tie the band as much as you want to it worked out.

This dress was beautiful. It is VERY simple, but really flatters a curvy figure. The length is also nice and allows you to move around and sit down without being fearful of accidentally flashing someone!! I would recommend this dress.

This dress is a unicorn - comfortable, flattering, travels well (no wrinkles!). Totally work appropriate buttoned up. Unbutton one or two and you're ready for evening. Will rent again!
