Button Down Pleated Dress

I loved the look and feel of this dress. It had an elegant, 70s vibe to it. The material is silky, smooth. The only problem was that there is absolutely no give in the bodice. I wear an 8 or 10, depending, and definitely needed to size up to the 10 at least. I couldn't get the hook above the zipper to latch and the snaps above the zipper would immediately unsnap when I moved. I was still able to wear the dress with a black cami underneath to cover the gap where the buttons wouldn't close (see pic). Will rent again in bigger size.

A perfect dress for the autumn 🍂 I dressed it up with a belt. A tiny bit tight in the chest for 36DD.

This is a beautiful dress. It feels good on. It has a sheer lining in the skirt. It’s silk & it lays nicely, beautiful length for Tall gals. It is a FIXED waistband that zips, has a clasp, and then three snaps up the side. If you get it to be fitted, it will have to fit your ribs or you won’t be able to raise your arms. I have broad shoulders and thick waist and luckily sized up. I did have the snap come undone -just one snap -3 separate times -and I was able to reach over on the side and discreetly snap it back. It’s a little tricky, but it’s a fun dress to have for the print if you have an event to wear it to. I wore for a big all day customer event with the plaid Veronica Beard blazer. Sorry for the bathroom pic - I got NWT and wanted to share asap.

This dress has been a hit! I put it on this morning. It's a little loose but I normally wear a 12 so I wasn't surprised. Nice fabric, looks great. Wore it to a work meeting, 2 different women told me how great I look.

This dress is so pretty. I love the pleated button and the material. It was a little snug in the waist. Other than that I liked it!

I took off one star because the buttons on the side pop open so easily. I actually had to have my coworker button it back up for me in the middle of a client event.

I would rent again… it is a great dress for the fall

Excellent print and feel, very silky. Design concept with side flimsy snaps is just annoying. The dress fit well, not too snug although I could see how some would say it runs small. The snaps do not stay closed and they are nearly impossible to re-snap without assistance from someone else.

Beautiful colors and print, I loved the construction. Fit well everywhere except the snaps on the side, as other reviewers mentioned as well. Because the material doesn’t have give, when you move those snaps pop. Sizing up for some give would have made it too big everywhere else for me. I wore to dinner once and hid that part of the dress with my purse. Consider sizing up.

I gave this two stars because the fabric is very nice. This is a very difficult dress to wear. The sizing was correct, however, there are snaps down the side of the dress, along with a closure hook and zipper. With every movement of my arm above the snaps, they all came undone. The dress was not too small, as you can see in the photo. The snaps are just in a very difficult place to close yourself, and they are too lightweight to hold the fabric together.

This dress feels luxurious and fits well. Great for work or biz events.

Beautiful dress but I should have got one size bigger. Wore a blazer over it and it was fine. Side buttons wouldn’t quite reach. Larger busted women go one size up.

This dress is beautiful and very flattering. I received multiple compliments. I would give it 10 stars if it had pockets.

I am in love with this dress! It's even more beautiful in person—the color is rich and the fabric feels luxurious. I felt amazing in it and got a ton of compliments. The only hiccup was the fit around my ribcage; while it was perfect on my bust and hips, the midsection was a little tight. This made the hidden side snaps pop open a few times when I moved, but luckily, they're placed under the arm and no one noticed! That hidden closure is such a chic detail. I'd 100% rent this again, though I'd probably try a size up for a more comfortable fit through the ribs.

I understand the frustrations of some other reviewers about the side snaps and the lack of stretchiness (which I would prefer). But the size I ordered fit me perfectly (true to size or maybe a little small) and so it worked well for me. I have an hourglass figure so maybe it works best for that body type. The pattern and colors are gorgeous.

Bad design with small buttons on side, they didn't stay closed. If you have a bigger bust, it will just be open.

Beautiful fit and feel. This dress helps hide a perimenopausal belly. However, the snaps under the left arm are a bit difficult to snap by yourself.

The side closure is a zipper with three buttons, these buttons pop open with most any movement of the left arm. The dress wasn’t tight across my chest, but keeping the buttons closed was a full time job.

I wish I would have sized up one size but I love this dress!

The buttons on the side to close are snap buttons, any movement for a more fitted look will snap them open. I recommend sizing up!

Loved the fabric BUT there are side snaps on the side of the bust. For me, this created NSFW moments so I had to throw on a cardigan to hide it. Would not recommend.

Fit well and was so beautiful but the tiny snaps on the rip cage constantly busted open, ended up having to wear a blazer over it to be safe

I like this dress but at the end of the day, it has snaps on the side where there should be a zipper. And they keep snapping open and exposing my side at unwelcome moments.

As other people stated, the side snaps are weird and since the fabric is unforgiving, they can come undone. I managed to make it through a day wearing it but I sized up and it didn't fit quite right

The material is silky and rich. The print is fabulous for fall and this dress looks exquisite on the hanger. And that is all the positive things I can say. The weird snaps at the top of the side zipper come undone easily and when I say easily I mean when driving. If you are larger chested or over 5’5 try sizing up if you really love this dress. If not, don’t rent it. I had to go home and change. Beautiful but flawed design.

I don’t know if I should have sized up or if it is the fabric that has no stretch. You have to do a side zip, hook and eye, and two snaps to get this on. I’m not a contortionist. Couldn’t get it on.

Very tights around the rib cage, the the point where the hook-and-eye closure would come undone when I sat down. Still loved the dress and got tons of compliments, but it wasn't comfortable or at all practical.

Silky and very pretty, but the sides had a zipper most of the way up, then snaps on the ribcage that popped open any time I lifted my arms or moved pretty much at all. Disappointing.

Great fabric, fit and color, but where the zipper stops on the side, these tiny buttons that you clip come undone at every small movement. They are in a very awkward position to close yourself, and I found it frustrating enough that I couldn’t wear the dress. Such a shame.
