Brooklyn Dress

I was hesitant to order this dress because there were mixed reviews. But, I’d definitely recommend this dress if you’re considering it! So many compliments :) Ordering info: I ordered a UK 0 and UK 1. Both fit, the 1 gave me a little more room (I am 5’5” and about 130 lbs. small bust). It was very complimentary of my shape. The arms and wrists are pretty tight w/ no stretch. So if your arms are thicker I wouldn’t recommend. The entire dress doesn’t have much stretch to it. It’s also pretty heavy. So I don’t recommend it for a warmer weather event.

Prepare to be showered in compliments when you wear this sequined beauty! Dress fit nicely, but I wanted to take it down a notch, in terms of formality, so I wore it backwards for a more sporty take. There are breast darts but they weren't obvious and I loved how I styled it. Start breaking rules - and shine on!

I am typically a 8-10 and I wore the 3. Hugs your body but still stretchy. Turned heads and unique. You will love it! Sequins were soft!!

Got so many compliments on this dress! The sequins catch the light which adds to the fun. Kept me warm, too! Only issue is I would’ve liked the arms to be longer, but that wasn’t a deal breaker.

This dress is what RTR was made for. I was invited to a party hosted by the British Consulate with a dress-to-impress dress code. The RTR stylist helped me find this British-designed sequined dress that nailed that fashion challenge. I saw a review about tight arms and sized up to make sure it fit my swimmer biceps and was totally comfortable in the 8. Wore it again to the opera a week later. Loads of compliments.

This is a beautiful dress. I had to wear it for an event where I was MC. I received so many compliments. Only thing to note is this dress is on the heavier/hot side

This dress is beautiful! I love a good sparkly dress and received so many compliments! It fits just right, I did not think it was too tight (I have a butt) and was able to move, sit, dance comfortably. Definitely recommend!

Comfy fit, great for cold weather I’m on the east coast this was an indoor gala event. Not much stretch but the dress is roomy!

I’m 5’5”, size 14, 38DD and this dress was absolutely perfect in every way! It was a stretchy material but honestly I had enough room for it to not be too tight. It is a bit of a heavy material so it works well for fall or winter.

I didn’t end up wearing this for my event but it was a tough choice between this and another option. The brown sequins are gorgeous and the dress is very comfortable. Heavy and thick material, lined inside. Might rent again so I get to wear it.

The perfect dress for semi-formal winter events! I never thought a brown dress could look so elegant, but this dress is stunning! So comfortable & flattering. There wasn’t much difference between the size 1 and 2 when I tried them on, so I went with the size 1 for a slightly more fitted look.

This dress is holiday party perfection. It’s thick and heavy and stretchy. Perfect for the 25 degree night I wore it. I sized down one size and it hugged me well.

This dress worked perfectly for my work gala dinner. Figure hugging yet modest - lots of compliments. It is heavy and warm, which was good for the A/C in ballrooms but would be hot in the summer

I'm pear shaped- very form fitting - even with Spanx - clings to every inch of your curves. Which is both good and bad. :) would have like a teeny tiny a-line/flare.

As mentioned by other reviewers the fabric was heavy and meant for fall/winter. Luckily it was a chilly night when I wore it. Overall, very comfortable and easy to dance in! It did run big, so I ended up wearing the smaller size

I got compliments on everything about this dress from the color the cut the side slit the fact that it was conservative but sexy. This dress is a show stopper so comfortable beautiful.

A++ for wedding wear in this season of chocolate brown! Wore it to an outdoor mid Atlantic October wedding and felt comfortable and glam. It’s very stretchy and lighter weight than I expected. Slit up the side is a bit higher than I expected, but I am tall. Tall girlies - the shoulders are wide enough, and the sleeves work well as a bracelet sleeve.

I wore this to an anniversary party that was in- and out-doors. Heavy with the liner and sequins, but perfect in terms of pizzazz and comfort.

I rented this as a backup for an event and loved it, but it runs big. I’m usually a 2 or 4, got a 4, but think I could have worn a 0!

It was perfect for a winter wedding. I felt beautiful and could dance all night. It was heavy which made it lay nicely.

I wore the size 2 and it fit perfectly with just enough extra room to be comfortable. The sleeves are more 3/4 length but the dress length was perfect just below knees. I received so many compliments. Dress is a bit heavy and warm, perfect for a fall outdoor wedding.

This dress is phenomenal! It shines gold in the sunlight and brownish in shade. Not low cut or high slit. Just the perfect amount of sophistication and flair without shouting “look at me”. It had a nice weight, but still was soft on the inside and comfortable to wear for an outside holiday photoshoot around the city. 5’8” 148lbs. Got sizes 2 and 3. Wore size 2, but size 1 would have been the better second option to try. Definitely recommend.

Great slimming style . I opted to wear the smaller size because it has some stretch and was more flattering.

Loved this dress. I got it as an option for a formal wedding in London. I ended up going with another outfit, but I will definitely rent this again. The sequins and fabric are great quality. It skims your body just right for a sophisticated look. The fabric is heavy though so I would only recommend wearing this in cold weather.

I ordered three wedding dresses from RTR, and this was the only one that fit, but I'm so glad it did. I got tons of compliments on it. I usually wear a 6 or 8, but the size 2 was super stretchy.

This fit perfectly, form fitted but not too tight. It is heavy so don't rent it in summer months unless you know you will be in air conditioning all night.

Flattering, comfortable and warm. I was skeptical but this was a real win for the party I was attending. Definitely a statement. Slit on the side is high, but balances well with the long sleeves and mock neck.
