We rented this dress for a valentine’s photo shoot for my daughter, but it was rained out. She wore it to her theater production opening instead (and out to dinner after) and it was perfect.

I am a true 8 and so got a M & L-- ended up going w the medium bc I am 5'3 and it was a good bit shorter. However I couldn't move my arms much & so in that regard a L would've been better. Is it the ideal party/ dancing dress? No. Is it ideal holiday dress for eating a bunch/ being w family/ work holiday party? Absolutely. The material is really structured. I'd say order TTS but beware of tight arms. IMO, staud runs small. Wish I could buy this one! 100% worth it

Love this dress! The material is stiff so I wasn’t able to fully lift my arms (and when I tried, the whole dress rides up and is shockingly short). Great for a party that doesn’t include dancing. The high collar neck holds its shape throughout the night.

I’m 5’10” and this dress was probably inappropriately short, but I wore it anyway. The large was a wee bit tight in the bust (I’m a 36DD), but the XL was HUGE - a huge jump up in size from the large.

As someone who usually wears black, this was a BIG change. The comments about the arms being tight are correct and it’s pretty short so I stood most of the time. Also though, POCKETS!

Loved this dress! The bow is so precious. The dress is not form fitting at all and material is thick. I would have preferred it to be a little smaller because it did not show my figure at all, but overall I thought it was so pretty! Would be ideal for a holiday party if going for the classic look!

Listen, I know what you're thinking. You're reading all these reviews and thinking, "Hm. Seems like people are being dramatic. Maybe they just have broader shoulders than average." NO. I have relatively narrow shoulders, and it was still a terrible fit on me. The picture shows me lifting my arms as far as they could go. It's not even entirely the shoulder width, it's something about the way the sleeves are attached combined with a too-small bust allowance combined with a non-stretch fabric? I'm not sure that this dress was constructed properly, but maybe if you size up a couple sizes it could work. I don't know. It's a very pretty true red color and nice fabric, so I really wish it had worked! But omg! My shoulder-to-shoulder measurement (across the back) is 17.5" and my upper arm circumference is 11". Good luck out there.

i’m normally an XS, but after reading the reviews i decided to size up to a small and am SO happy i did. it is tighter on tbr shoulders and is very short, even when I sized up! but was so cute and comfortable and has POCKETS

This had a go go vibe to me. It was super short too. While I liked it, I only wore it to a quick appointment because I felt it was just too short. It also did g work great with my arms - felt little tight. This would be cute on some one smaller than me and maybe shorter.

Length is short, but looser fit balances it out. Open back and bow detail is unique and fun. Ended up buying!

I wore this for a christmas party and then for actual christmas. it was so cute paired with black tights and loafers for a more relaxed look, then also with black heels for Christmas. The arts and chest are a bit smaller so can't raise arms much but it was fine (and I have a bigger chest). comfy and flattering, what more could you want.

Perfect for a holiday party! Just a bit tight in the armpit area so perhaps size up if that's a concern - super short so definitely a tights situation if you're average height or taller

The color, shape and bow are just perfect. The material is a bit more casual which makes it versatile (could pop on sneakers or heels depending on your day). I wore for an evening out in Paris and I will remember it forever. Warning: snug in the shoulder/arms so you may not have a lot of mobility if that is something you are into ;)

This was a cute look for Valentine's Day with a little bit of a Mad Men vibe. I liked that the neckline and back were both unique, and I love anything with a bow detail! As other reviews mention, the arms were a bit tight, but fine unless you are trying to raise your arms above your head. I have a 37 in bust and can be between Medium and Small in dresses and am glad I went with the medium. I was able to wear a regular bra with it too :)
