Cream Polka Dot Satin Mini Dress

This dress is so my vibe. It's poofy, polka dots and snug fitting. Love it.

Fit was true to size. The skirt part is very poofy, and adds like 30 lbs when you're facing forward and 20 lbs sideways. ;-b I still loved it though.

The straps were a little loose on me- but didn’t hinder me from wearing the dress!

Got stopped by everyone (including a random woman on the street, thank you queen) to compliment me on this dress. The skirt is super cute. The straps sit very far on your shoulders so I recommend fashion tape just to keep it all secure.

My husband kept trying to rub it flat meanwhile so many girls are giving me compliments! I loved it

Very pretty dress in a satin fabric. Gorgeous statement but the straps were a bit wide for my frame and kept slipping off. Otherwise super cute moment and loved the skirt volume.

I’m usually between a 2 and 4 and sized down and while I got it to zip, the armpit area was very tight and got uncomfortable over the course of the night, if you’re between sizes go up!

I probably got a dozen compliments but size up!! This is the second time i rented this bc the first one was no where near fitting , I went up 2 sizes

Straps on this are really long and wouldn’t stay up. It sadly didn’t work for me without something over shoulders. Beautiful silhouette and gorgeous thick fabric

Did not work for me and didn’t wear. The proportions were off. There is tulle underneath at the hips and it’s puffs out A LOT. It’s hard to tell in some of the reviews. Wanted to like it, if you’re short go for it.

This dress fit well, but other comments about the material at the hips are correct. I ended up not wearing it because it made it feel a little young for me, but still super cute for the right event

Wore this to the ballet. The zipper was a bit annoying, and I should have sized up, but it was generally a charming dress. The fabric had a sheen that felt elevated, and the tulle added some lovely volume to the skirt.

Loved this dress! Felt fun to wear. Fits just right. Only issue may be the straps. They would occasionally slip off since they are not adjustable. Other than that I would rent again

Sadly have to return. I have a longer torso and since the straps are not adjustable the bust area fell on my collar bone instead of on my breasts. Beautiful material and seems high quality but probably just fits a certain body type

This was a gamble and it didn't work out for me. Pros - quality piece with structured skirt, unique, very fun. Cons- very short on my tall frame, weird fit. I'd say this runs a tad on the large size. The waist and top fit well, but I have broad shoulders and the straps might be hard if you are more narrow. Also, the boob area is like a shelf and it's quite big. I'd probably need a full size down to fit that area.

I’m not usually into polka dots, but I love how Self-Portrait fits, so I gave this one a try. I sized up one (as I always do with this brand — they run small, so size up one or two depending on the style). I marked the dress as TTS because it’s true to how THEIR size runs fit. Unfortunately, this was a miss. If you’re over 5’5”, I wouldn’t recommend it — it hit just below my butt and felt more like I borrowed a kid’s 50’s costume than something chic or worth wearing out to dinner. The biggest issue was the tulle layer at the waist seam. It causes the skirt to puff out awkwardly, right at the midsection. You get about two inches of sleek fit, and then it flares out like a little tent in the place you don’t want anything to. I saw another renter look amazing in this, so it may work for some — but this one’s definitely going to be a hit or miss, nothing in-between. Great quality as always from Self Portrait, but the fit was a no for me.
