Black High Neck Gown

I very, very rarely wear solid black (it always makes me feel like I’m channeling Johnny Cash), but I needed to wear a black dress for an black-tie event I’m helping to run at work. We need to look polished, but not like we are attending the event, so I skipped any bling and added a belt to make it feel more appropriate for the work day. This is definitely a dress that can be glammed up, and the weight is great because it smooths things out a bit. If I have to wear black, this will do the trick.

This can be dressed traditionally with pumps or you can pull on the vibe from the hemline and channel a modern Stevie Nicks moment. I paired it with boots from Sorrel and a (RTR) jacket from Kendall & Kylie

This dress was exceptional! Felt like a million bucks in it, the bow detail on the back was a nice touch and I think hair up is also best for this look because of that detail. I bought a size up because my regular size wasn't available, and I'm glad I did. The top was a little bit big, but the bottom fit like a glove. I'm 5'11 in the dress, and the length hit me perfectly for my preference.

This dress fit true to size and hit in all the right places. It was nice and flowy, while being beautifully fitted at the top. I could wear a regular bra (always a plus) and felt like a million dollars.

True to size

Wore this dress to a formal dinner and loved it. I’m tall, so it hit a little higher than most people, but the fabric is very formfitting, and do not need to wear a bra with it.

This is a must have piece for a special event! Best for a tall person with slimmer waist (fits at waist). Comfortable all night. Loved the tie off the back. Lots of compliments. Felt very elegant all night.

Sophisticated and stylish. Easy to dress up or down. Nice heavy fabric hangs perfectly.

It is definitely fitted around the waist and hips -- not too tight -- but snug. It is really all about the drape. It pairs well with heels and also combat boots for a more casual vibe. LOVE THIS DRESS

Wore this for a b/w photo shoot and to work with a yellow leather jacket: very versatile! Would buy if it were a lower price. A great winter dress: thick, fine material and I loved the neck scarf element.

Got so many compliments on this! Such a flattering fit, body hugging all the way down to the hips then a gorgeous hemline. Comfy, doesn't wrinkle after sitting and is so easy to dance in.

Ok this dress was a delight. The material hugs you and is thick with not much give. It also is 100p for longer waisted women. I have a short waist and was kind of able to pull it off with spanx but the material bunched a little at the waist line. Also, it's v fitted from your bra band down to the top of your hips - not hip bone, hips. Unexpected but liked it. Asymmetrical hemline, and a little heavy. Shows off your shoes! Would rent again.

This dress was a perfect fit except for around my arms. It was very gape-y by my armpit; in fact, a lot of my bra showed if I raised my arms. I made it work and wore a black bra, but that was the one weird fit that kept this dress from being a perfect 5 star. And I'm a very busty girl, so filling the chest of the dress was not a problem.

This brand never disappoints. I wore this to a military funeral. Heavy material. Black black. Nice neckline and tie in the back. Solid rental.

I am 5'5" and about 140 lbs. 34c bra, this fit absolutely perfect. I will rent again. Material is very nice.

This dress was a stunner. Made me feel like a million bucks with a slight edge. The hem worked with heels despite my short stature. It's snug fitting in the middle and flares nicely in the skirt. Someone needs to cut out the hanging strings b/c they were a pain to hide. This dress is perfect for hourglass shaped figures.

I did not end of wearing it but it has great lines and I would rent again for the right occasion. Was a bit large but I ordered a size up.

Wore this to a wedding rehearsal dinner and got so many compliments! A bit long if you are on the shorter side, like me, but overall fit was very flattering and classy.

Perfectly hugged every curve, ran true to size. My waist is a 29/30 and the 8R fit perfect.

Gorgeous dress. Simple and elegant. Gaped quite a bit at the bust with very large arm holes so I didn't end up wearing.

I never wore this because when I put it on, I vaguely resembled (and felt like a) pilgrim. I think you have to be more statuesque than I am in order to make it look good. Had I been about 3" taller, I probably would have adored it. The material is very heavy, so it drapes nicely.

This was too large in the top for me. The next size down would probably work. It's a very classy, elegant dress. The fabric is amazing.
