It is a matter of preference but I felt like they were a bit outdated. They also kept sliding down.

These were the best maternity jeans I tried in terms of comfort. The panel is over the bump, soft, and doesn't fall down at all. I really loved these jeans, but they're made for a much taller person. I'm 5' 2" and had to cuff them a few times which just didn't look that good except with high heels. 

They're also big around the hips and legs and have a "boyfriend" look to them. To get a tighter fit, I tried the XS after and it was too tight for my belly and didn't have a much better fit in the hips, legs, and length. 

If I could I'd put this panel onto every other pair of maternity jeans.
