This dress take on a button down is excellent. It has shape and a point of view. Very fashionable. Does show quite a bit of leg if you're considering wearing for work.

This dress is a work of art. Note it needs a steam iron and a bit of patience out of the bag. Once ironed with the steam it hangs like a dream and fits well for my long torso. I’m 5’8 and 138lbs have a 28” inseam so short legs and it was tummy forgiving, almost a little short in the front but when sitting can toss the drape over my lap. I’d buy this one. Tons of compliments! Wear undergarments that perfectly match your skin in the bum area. It’s a great fabric but can sort of be seen though in that area.
This dress can probably be buttoned 100 different ways, so take your time and give it a chance. While I find the collar on the hip to be a bit tricky to manage, overall I love this clever Monse riff on menswear. I rolled the cuffed sleeves once for ease and found the length to be fine with flats. Very cool item. Rent this.
I usually need to size up for this designer, but should've stayed with my usual size for this number. Very cool design--I particularly like the upside-down collar over the thigh in the front. The buttons were an adventure, but I did figure out a couple different ways to wear it. Rent this and you'll see. It's still in my favorites!
Has the unique features we love about Monse. I got a 6, and I probably needed a 4, so I styled it with a belt. Also the front area has weird buttons. Both inner and outer, and it seemed to kinda gap open. The fabric was nice. Not as wrinkly as some other shirt dresses.

I am obsessed with this dress and rent it every single time I see it in my size. It is so flattering and unique and comfortable. Monse at its best! I’ve dressed it up and down and traveled with it. I literally love her.
Such a flattering and fun dress for day— wore it out as a tourist, and to the office. For the latter, I pinned one of the pieces to drape across the front, making it a little less leggy. Rent this!
I ended up wearing this with wide-legged slacks for dinner at a corporate convention. It was too short to feel appropriate otherwise. Received so many compliments. I will say this though. Normally I don’t wear anything shorter than knee length. But this might get me out of my comfort zone. I could see renting it again for a date night or evening out with friends and skipping the pants.
I love this dress. Fashion forward even by Manhattan standards. Flattering and lightweight. I’m glad I sized up
If this was in my price pint, I would buy in a heartbeat!!!
The traditional preppy button down shirt dress. The exposed leg is high for walking but it doesn’t feel scandalous.
If you enjoy the Monse deconstruction but want something that could be work appropriate in a creative office, this is it. I WFH most days, so I actually wore it to run errands on a hot summer days. It’s a high quality dress with amazing details, but just needs a steaming or ideally a proper ironing before wear. For designers like Monse, I tend to go up a size to accommodate my chest and shoulders. It’s a bit relaxed through the top, but this might be due to my shorter torso as well. The fit through the waist and hips was pretty much perfect.
The only thing to note is the deep front slit — on windy days it can open up quite a bit, but you can close it with buttons if needed.
Bought when it was on flash sale for 60% off ($900 retail 😭) and so glad I did. It’s super comfortable, easy to wear, and easier to wash. I’ve outfit repeated it almost every other week this spring and summer. It’s slightly oversized, the 2 is loose but not too loose.
Everyone seem to have an opinion at the office, mostly positive reviews :) Personally, I loved it.
It’s like taking two men’s dress shirts and doing a little beach Ariel magic and viola, cute shirt dress with a twist. I absolutely love this dress. It’s a bit short for work but perfect for date night or girls night. I did wear a slip as it’s a bit see through. Buttons are tricky but not impossible. Start buttoning from the top and it will fall into place. All the button holes have a purpose. There is one button hole far right that doubles back on the fourth button down and will create a beautiful pleat. It actually makes me think about the time I had to bustle my dress for my wedding. It’s neat thoughtful designer ideas that really make this dress special and unique. The sizing is pretty spot on for me. Not tight and not loose. There’s a side zipper as well. I also love how you can shape up the collar on the skirt.
I love this dress! So fun, sexy and attention attracting
This dress is truly so cool. It is elevated everyday, comfortable, but makes you look so put together. Pair with heels, flats, or sneakers and it still looks great! It could have been a bit more snug, but other than that I loved it and got a lot of wear out of it!
So I loved this, but as I am tall, the hemline in the front was so short (too short for a work conference!) that I had to improvise a bit. Posting pictures of the dress as is and my solution for those who might need it 😉
the concept is cool but the collar on the shirt hits at an odd place and looks more like a hole. maybe i just didn’t know how to style it.
One of my favorite workwear dresses I've rented! Perfect for a more conservative work or day/brunch outing. Fit is TTS for a true hourglass, though fabric does not stretch, so order accordingly

This dress is kinda funny, it probably should come with instructions how to button because it's not obvious. It's also is in part made out of a man's shirt I think, which if nothing else is a good conversation topic.

Obsessed with this dress but unless it's 90% someday I can't afford it. :( I was glad other reviews mentioned the buttons so I knew it wasn't just me. They're weird but they work! I'm between a 6 and an 8 so got the 8 to be safe. It was a tad big but still looked great. Lots of compliments!

Waist fits true to size. Fold over the middle button holes (one in line, one is placed a few inches in to the body of the shirt) to get the top to lay right. You'll see what I mean when you get the dress. Top fits loose. Bottom feels like Taylor Swift's TTPD concert dress and I love it.

My lord, I adored this dress. It somehow manages to be both sculptural and wearable, appealing to both the male and female gaze - a true unicorn. The asymmetrical hem and unexpected structure made me feel like a walking piece of art, the kind you’d find at a high-concept Chelsea gallery. And yet, despite its avant-garde silhouette, it’s incredibly flattering. I wore it to work with all the skirt buttons fastened so it hit at tea length, but you can also undo a few buttons for a flirtier, mini-skirt reveal. Fits true to size. I’m still recovering from the self-restraint it took not to buy it.
Wore it to a girls dinner and felt so incredible - comfortable and sexy. It covers up and shows just the right amount of leg.
I really loved how unique this dress is. I didn’t figure out the intended way to button it until my second wearing but i found it forgiving in the different ways you can wear it.
Got a ton of complements even though the dress is pretty kooky at first glance
