Smocked Tank Dress

Really great for a weekend on the Cape.

True to size, very flattering & comfortable! Wore multiple times and received many compliments!

I had no issue with armhole or neck fit, but I have a smaller upper body frame compared to my lower body. Fabric was nice and ready to style informally or add a jacket.

I rented for a work conference in Chicago and it fit the bill I’m always looking to fit when traveling for work: easy to pack (although maybe a little bulky!), easy to style, easy to wear. I could have also seen myself wearing it for a non-work event too.

Great dress for anyone - pregnant or not! Fit really well and very forgiving!

Wore this dress to a bridal shower at an upscale venue. Added a jean jacket with rolled sleeves because it was late summer early fall. Fabric of the dress is very beautiful and flows lovely as you walk. I ordered a S and M, either would have worked but I went with the S. Petite sizing would have been nice. I wore a 2 1/4” heeled shoes. Shoes didn't show but dress was not touching the floor. Arm holes are very fitted but that didn’t bother me . Dress must go on over your head, so keep that in mind with hair style and make-up. Being busty and short waisted the smocking on top tended to pucker and the style might not have been the most flattering for me but the jacket helped to make the look and cover that up. Did get several compliments on the dress.

I loved the long length, the pattern, and the smocked bodice. It made it feel comfy even tho it looks fancy. The skirt fell so nicely when I walked and made me feel like I was floating. The arm holes are a tad small; if it were mine, I'd have them opened up a bit.

I read that others had issues with the neckline but this dress fit like a glove. The only challenge I had was length - I'm 5'5" and it was too long to wear flats. Wearing heels it would not have been an issue at all. The flow of the material is just amazing!

I wore this for two work events, a date, and a symphony concert during a summer heat wave. I did not notice the tightness at the neck and arms that other commenters mentioned in their reviews; I thought it fit perfectly and I was very comfortable wearing it all day long. Length hit right at my ankles (5’8”)

Wore this dress to work with pumps, out for dinner with high heeled sandals and for touring around Amalfi coast in Birkenstocks. Super comfortable and pretty. I normally wear medium but based on reviews about the neck and arm area, I did size up. Glad I did.

Great fitting. Looked beautiful on. Wore my denim jacket with it because it’s still cold here. Wore with cowboy boots. A man stopped me in the store and told me I reminded him of a beautiful girl he met at Woodstock. I loved that compliment.

Almost kept but decided against because of length for me.

I loved the dropped waist and print. It was a little hard to get on and off given how tight the arm and neck holes. But overall, I loved it.

The head hole is tight too, but there is a zipper at the side of the neck so you can fit your head thru

Very comfortable and flattering around the stomach. A little long but I’m only 5’4 and wore tennis shoes vs heels. Neck not generally hard to put on, except when you do your makeup first and have to squeeze through… just put the dress on first and you’ll be fine.

I am 5 months pregnant and it fit really well and was comfortable. I got it for a wedding, so I did not like it, but would be good for teacher or work!

Zipper is on the shoulder so was kind of hard to get on but overall great dress. Definitely fancier than I expected

Loved this dress - high quality thicker than I had thought so wears a little warm for summer. Hit my right at my obliques so not as flattering as I had thought but extremely comfortable and nice for work or a summer day patio.

Felt a little tight in the bust but was overall fine I think if I got a bigger size it would have been too big. It didn’t bother my underarms like other reviews noted. My only complaint is that the dress smelled like cigars or something when I first got it. It smelt off but as it aired out it was fine.

I would have loved this dress if it were about 8 inches shorter. I wore it with 3 " heels and it was just touching the top of my feet. With flats, it was on the ground. The bodice is made of rows of very stretchy elastic ruching, so I pulled the dress up and tucked it under. I didn't have any pins to hold it in place, so I had to adjust all day. Runs large - I would size down in the future.

Wow, this was way more of a winner than I expected. Hourglass frames, this is for you. Rouching is flattering and easy to wear. Two notes- the arm holes are so small. I had red lines from them cutting into my skin. Dress is also quite long. I’m 5’11” and if I had been much shorter I’m not sure if it would work as well

This dress needs pockets. It was just an "eh" for me. I'm in between sizes and probably should have ordered a large and not an XL for a better fit. It's an easy summer dress though.

I think this must work better on taller women, because it was just ok for me. The shirring is great in that it is pretty forgiving, but I felt like the skirt overwhelmed my frame a bit.

The body of the dress was very comfortable and flowy. It came new with tags. The zipper is across the top of the shoulder. The neck was very tight as were the arm holes. I ended up wearing it unzipped to give a little more breathing room around my neck. Despite this wore it twice with two different jackets to cover up the open zipper.

This dress fits nice but the arm holes and neck hole have zero elastic and were made for thinner appendages.

I wore this dress for several nice dinners. It has a beautiful, romantic sway to it and packs well. No pockets, but it is smocked at the top. The arm holes and neck are a bit snug, but for someone petite, they would work well.

Wore this as a maternity option (sized up one size for my third trimester). Loved it and got lots of compliments. FYI it's navy and not black!

I wore this over and over again with my rental. I wore it to professional events, birthday dinners, work, and I felt well dressed each time and comfortable. The only thing about this is that the zipper is on top of one shoulder, no other zippers on the sides, and the armholes are actually a bit small, so getting it on felt tight up top, but the chest, waist, hips were all super stretchy so were extremely comfortable once on. I found that I had to scrunch up the middle a bit while wearing to make it a little shorter, and I did find that I easily stepped on the hem when going up stairs, getting into cars, even sitting in my rolling chair at work, I had to pick it up or else my wheels will roll over it. So it's long, but cute, stretchy and comfy once on, and if you have slender arms/shoulders, it should fit ok up top.
