Other reviewers are correct- the fit of the shoulders and chest is odd. It runs very small in the chest. This worked well for my body type because I have a small chest. Not a great choice for fuller chests. That said I LOVED this and wish it were affordable. The details at the button are so unique (buttons in the front and back). It looks cool fully buttoned or undone, over pants or tights or as a dress. Wish I could keep it forever

So, maybe you didn’t go to Italy for a month with only a carry on piece of luggage. But, if that’s your plan, this dress will get you through your trip looking chic and staying as cool as possible when it’s 95°. Washes and dries in no time. Perfetto!

It’s definitely a tent dress, but the arms are fitted. It runs similar to most Italian designers where the arms are a size down and the waist is a size up. I personally didn’t have an issue with how the sleeves are attached, although I get that it bothers some people. I still have full range of arm movement and the dress doesn’t become too short. The print is a really cool graphic floral collage. It’s lightweight and not see through. The back of the dress has extra blousy fabric, so I’m careful not to stand with my arms crossed otherwise it creates a bubble butt effect. This dress is great for work, going out to dinner, surviving 100 degree days, or just comfortable to run errands in.

I honestly loved this dress- I kept it three rounds because it was so easy to just throw on and schlep around in. You could dress it down with birks, or up with heels. You can make it look tidier by buttoning the collar, or keep it more breezy unbuttoned like shown here. The high cut arms and narrow bust keep it from being too unflattering, but it’s definitely a tent dress. It’s a thin cotton. Very breathable and comfortable. Decent pockets. Good sleeve length. Overall I loved it!

I’m usually a 8-10 M/L in dresses and the 46/10 fit perfectly. Fitted sleeves, loose elsewhere. A bag but has style. Crisp paper-like cotton. Liked the print and soft faded-like colors. Pockets. Two small buttons on front chest and two on back neck.

Tried to show where my shoulder is and then where the seam of the arm is. Such an odd fit and also very uncomfortable. This dress is also really long. Fabric is pretty, but that’s about it. Pass on this one!!!!

Kind of like a tent but is very comfortable and cute

This has volume in all the right places. The fitted arms and shorter hem length help to balance the volume of the dress overall. The perfect blend of comfort and fashion.

Has a big silouette/ but cool looking Pockets.. Easy to wear. great for spring
I was thinking about canceling my RTR subscription to save $$ and then I get a bag with a $1100 brand-new, tags-on Marni dress and I'm hooked again. I get why some of the reviews panned it. It's Marni -- unique, weird, challenging. It billows out in the back and reminds me of an elevated 1950s house dress. If you rent this expecting it to fit or look like a conventional dress, you'll probably be mad about having wasted a spot. Gorgeous fabric, colors and construction. I'm wearing it with flowy black pants because the weather's still cool here. Looking forward to taking it with me on a trip to LA.
Meant to be oversized

I was nervous about ordering given all the back and forth in the comments about the sleeves, but I didn't find them to be constricting. It was an easy to wear dress in a unique, fun print. I wore it to a work lunch in a warm location, but it's also just as easy to throw on for a casual vacation dinner

Love the pattern and its an easy, casual wear. It's very roomy on the backside. I wouldn't rent it again but did enjoy it.

Gorgeous from the front but billows out in a strange way in the back. The print is so pretty.
The shoulder cut is interesting as many mentioned but its a really great pattern and a fun cut. Definitely not the most flattering shape but very stylish and conservative enough to wear to work. A perfect thing to rent instead of buy
I'm fairly petite with small shoulders but somehow with this I couldn't have my shoulders totally back in their normal position, I had to roll them. The sleeves are smaller, but I had a good inch of free space around my arm. But the tight shoulders made it uncomfortable. Loved the pattern and wish there wasn't the shoulder issue!

Seemed like I had it on backward because sleeves were strangely tight. Turned it around but still not right. Didn’t wear
The print is gorgeous, but the fit is just weird. The arms are tight in a weird way where you can barely lift your arms up. The rest of the dress is so tent-like and boxy. Wish it was cut differently. Didn’t end up wearing out.
I rented this for the beautiful and vibrant pattern. It's a regular cotton fabric. The fit is very weird. The body is very wide where belting it did not make sense. The sleeves are placed lower than it should be.

The fabric is beautiful but is a thinner cotton than I anticipated. It's not see-through, but it doesn't hold the shape of the dress. The dress has a voluminous cut in the back, and it wouldn't lay correctly for me. I also have an athletic build and it was too tight in my arms. I probably could have pulled it off but would not have felt comfortable so I didn't wear it. Also worth mentioning, it has the same button pattern in the front and the back which I found odd. The fabric is a gorgeous print, and the dress might work for the right body type, just not great on me.
i was hoping this could be a throw on dress, the quarter length arm sleeve made my biceps feel like sausages. oddly proportioned dress, but it has pockets!

Looked like a potato sack. A shame because print is pretty
The fabric is pretty, but that’s the only thing this dress has going for it. The fit is horrible — huge and tent-like, especially in the back — but the worst part is the sleeves. They are narrow and attach inches away from where any human’s armpit would be, making it difficult to move your arms above elbow level without the whole dress shifting around. It also results in a loose and unflattering fit through the chest. Even a belt couldn’t save this one. Hated it.
