Embroidered Lace Sheath

I'm usually between a 10 and 12 , this designer , I always size up to a 12. It fit perfect ! Love the crochet lace look !

So I ordered the dress in a 6R, and also received the dress in an 8R. When I tried it on, it literally JUST fit. (It was slightly snug around the waist - but not enough to make me go up a size). That being said, the wedding was out of the country, in Canada, and I decided to bring both dresses with me, just in case. I ended up wearing the 6, and I'm glad I did. It fit perfectly and I got a lot of compliments on the dress. It was literally perfect for the wedding I was at, and since it was cold outside (the ceremony and cocktail hour were outside), I wore a jacket over it, and it was still very chic. I was so glad I had thought of Rent the Runway instead of buying a new dress. Thank you for having the perfect dress for me.

This dress is such high quality, has really interesting details, and fit like a glove! I received tons of compliments on it at a semi-formal wedding in March.

Super comfy and cute

The wedding that I attended was “Garden Themed” which in my opinion was within the same vein as the Met Gala theme of “Garden of Time.” So even though I wasn’t invited to said Met Gala this year, this dress for my friend’s “Garden Themed” wedding was perfect! It was fun, and the green and pink floral colors on the dress really do pop out. It was super chic and comfortable to wear. Also I would say it’s perfect if the wedding is also somehow “ Bridgerton” themed as well.

I received this dress as a back-up which worked perfectly. I ended up wearing it to a rehearsal dinner. Comfortable to wear even when sitting. No need for a bra due to built in top.

The beautiful stitching and design details translate as elegant and expensive. There isn’t a ton of stretch, but it still fit comfortably with my curves. I rented this as an option for my rehearsal dinner but ended up choosing another dress. I would rent it again if an opportunity arose.

The dress does run a bit small so I would say size up! It fit me like a glove! It synchs perfectly at the waste and was a midi length on me. I’m 5’4 and about 190 so size 16 was perfect for me!

Be prepared to get a lot of compliments! The material is high quality and the embroidery has a sheen to it which makes it even more noticeable. I’m 5’4”, 163 lbs, 36 D bust and wore a size 12 like a glove. There is no give, so be sure to read the reviews to help ensure you pick the right size. And if you have wider hips, you may want to size up.

I wore this dress to a Broadway show in NYC and got several compliments. It's very flattering and the design is so beautiful. Fabric is thick enough to cover the lumps and bumps, but doesn't have a lot of give. Would definitely rent again.

Wore this dress to a wedding and got a million compliments. I usually wear a 16 in dresses but sized up to 18 and it fit like a glove. Loved this dress!

The dress was beautiful as usual! I wore it to church with a fascinator hat! It was a little tight around my arms in the back and under my arm. Perhaps I needed to wear a different bra not sure?? However, the dress was beautiful!!

Perfect dress for an evening wedding. I loved the way it fit and was very comfortable. There are multiple layers of lining so it got warm when dancing but not terrible (note i wore this for a spring wedding so it wasn't too hot) The lining was the only con; I struggled to get all the layers down after hiking it up to use the ladies room and needed to have my husband pull to make sure they were not bunched.

I adored this beautiful dress. The detail at the waistline and sleeveless top was flattering for my apple shape. I'm very petite so it was a bit long but didn't bother me. Lots of compliments. I will rent this dress again.

Very pretty. The sheath style wasn't a problem for walking around, but it might be difficult to dance in.

Wore this Marchesa dress to my daughter’s college graduation yesterday along with this Maje bag I also rented and LOVE! I went up a size due to my bust. I would have had zero issue in the 16 or even 14 with smaller than a DD. Tons of compliments (even one from the kiddo) definitely recommend!

This is a beautiful dress - more so in person as the magenta flowers are very vibrant. That said, the skirt is tight around the legs so I had to be careful getting in and out of cars and getting anything from the ground (including putting my shoes). Overall a great dress for a somewhat less than formal (but still fancy) event. I would rent this again!

This was the perfect dress for our “favorite things” exchange book club holiday party. It was so pretty and I felt gorgeous. Had to size up 2 sizes to get it to zip.

Fit just right. Not a lot of give, so if in between sizes, then size up. I loved the color and patterns of the dress. And it was just different enough to not look like everyone else.

Wore this dress for a bridal dinner. Fit perfectly and true to size. Didn’t find the embroidering itchy as some other reviewers mentioned. You can’t walk long strides given the length but I didn’t really need to for a dinner. Received many compliments. It looks pretty expensive. I’m almost 5’7 and think this dress may appear a bit too long on anyone on the shorter side Wore it indoors but could imagine this dress being a bit too warm for a summer outdoor event due to the thickness of the material

Such a pretty dress, easy to wear! I wore to a wedding rehearsal. This dress could be dressed up or dressed down. I wore with flats and a cashmere cardigan for a more casual rehearsal dinner.

I’m a bit bigger on top so I sized up and I’m glad I did, I felt it was a little lose through the hips but that was ok to fit good on top. Very comfortable and easy to wear all night, lots of dancing!

Loved this dress, it was my backup option but ended up being my favorite!! It’s a great material, and it’s fitted without being revealing. Two slight warnings - I found my ring catching on the lace, so I had to keep my eye on that. Also, the black lining would get bunched up when I used the restroom - so just be sure to check everything is pulled down properly. This was a great dress, and everyone loved it!

The band at the waist is not stretchy at all so I would size up if you’re in between. The embroidery and colors are beautiful! It feels a little matronly to me- not really sexy- but very fancy and comfortable if you get the right size!
