This dress was super fun and cute. I was in between sizes so the 18 was a little big but it worked. I was a good length. No issues with dancing and it riding up! Was comfortable all night.

This is the second time I've rented a cocktail dress from Rent the Runway. It's a fantastic service! You can rent a fancy dress, rather than having to buy one that won't fit by the next year that you need it. [For reference, I'm 5'3.5", 148 lbs, 36B cup and I wore a size 12 but could have gone smaller] So, as for this dress, it was perfect for what I needed. Comfy, not too short (it was longer on me than I expected, just above my knees), pretty but modest (since I was wearing it for a work event, I didn't want anything with a revealing chest or slit up my thigh). A 10 would probably have been perfect but it wasn't available. I wore a 12 and it was roomy but just on the cusp of looking too big…I didn't have time to exchange it so it was fine. I will totally use Rent the Runway again…they're the best!

Loved the look and feel of this dress. One of my favorite rentals and I wish I could keep it! Can work for more formal affairs or just a night out. I typically wear a 4 but listened to the reviews and sized down. It fit perfectly. Highly recommend.

I added a long sleeve crop top under this and added a belt for extra!!! Got a lot of compliments!

This is a little flirty and a little sexy. I do have an hourglass figure and wish it fit tighter in the stomach area. This would be GREAT for those who have a little tummy to hide.

Yes, it’s a bit itchy where there’s no lining at the bottom, but it’s minimal, you’ll survive for the night. I should’ve gotten a size smaller, but I wasn’t certain, so figured to size up.

I wore this for our anniversary date to a nice restaurant. It was really cute, easy to wear and style, and mid thigh was enough leg to be sexy without feeling like my @$$ was out. Kind of an 80s feel without being over the top. Wish I had a good full length pic but failed on that…

I wore this to a dinner party and to a wedding. Recieved lots of compliments. It runs small. My normal size is 12. I got a 16 as a backup since 14 was not available. So glad I did because the 16 fit perfectly and the 12 would have been too small.

Fit true to size, no shaping garments necessary. The outer fabric was rough but the liner inside protected the skin except when sitting down but that was a minor concern. I'm petite (4'11") and the proportions were not an issue.

Fit great! So many compliments! Fun but still formal. I wore with flats, though it would've been much dressier with heels.

I ordered a size down based on other reviews, however, I didn't notice much of a difference in sizes other than slightly smaller in the arm holes and around the middle in the smaller size. I loved the dress and received a lot of compliments!

So many compliments on this gorgeous dress! Fits pretty true to size (maybe a little small?) with no stretch. I'm fairly short, so it may not work for a taller person. Lightweight but well constructed with a really nice lining that is stitched down so it doesn't ride up. It was a really excellent and lovely choice.

I loved this dress! Wore for a rehearsal dinner and outdoor event. Great fit - a little snug in the chest but I'm breastfeeding and quite large (36G). Highly recommend!

Pretty dress. I would have liked if it was a couple of inches longer. I am 5'2", 128 lbs. and the 6 fit fine. I did not find it ran huge as others said.

Fits well. Cute with or without tights. A little tight around tummy but I’m dealing with a little post partum body.

This is an eassssyyy dress to wear. Very comfortable, pretty and feminine. Size 10 was perfect for me (I wear a 10) and the length was perfect.

The materials and color of this dress is absolutely gorgeous--even prettier in person! The rich, deep pink and gold hues pop against the black background. The dress looks and feels expensive and elegant. Only cons: a bit scratchy without tights. The shape is a true shift so it can feel a bit shapeless, plus I do think it runs slightly large. If you are not a fan of shifts or drop waist dresses, I probably wouldn't recommend this one.

I tried this as part of my unlimited for an upcoming wedding. Super comfortable- I am a true 14 with most RTR dresses and this was big. I felt it just did not do much for me - made my waist seem bigger cause so baggy given light material. It was not formal enough for what I wanted and I also think for a younger person.

The reviews were right in that it runs large but I think that’s just the style. I ordered my regular size and it fit okay but was right in the hips and lose elsewhere. I didn’t end up wearing and returned it. I think for it to look more fit, I would have to size down. For it to look as intended, I would need to size up.

It was tighter on my hips. The way this fell it made my hip/ waist/ thigh area look wider than it actually is. Not flattering. Better for less curvy shape.

I loved this dress & highly recommend it. It was fun, festive & comfortable. The colors are way better in person-the gold metallic was my favorite & was a perfect touch for a holiday party. It was a bit snug in the chest but the bodice material is like a waffle weave & has some stretch. Shout out to the RTR staff for their superior customer service. I was notified in plenty of time that my first choice wasn't retuned in time to ship to me. They replaced it with 2 back ups including this winner.

I wore this dress to Thanksgiving this year and received so many compliments! The perfect mix between dressy & fun! Super flattering and loved the flair on the bottom. Would definitely recommend!
