I love this dress, the color is great! I probably could've sized down one or two sizes. This dress is very forgiving due to the pleated style.

Roomy all over, but I wore as is-no belt, and was very happy with it. Great shoulder season dress for early Fall. Does cling a bit so recommend shape wear or tights. Lots of compliments! Would be great for holiday.

I could have gotten away with a large. I need to accessorize to make it work but I did get a lot of compliments. Pictured with my walking shoes but it looked great with black pumps in the office

Wore this to my daughters’ Christmas dance recital and though I liked it and it was comfortable, I think the size small would’ve looked better and a little less shapeless on me. It was also quite static-y. Every time I would successfully get the static out, I’d have to put on my wool coat to go outside and it would come back. It also came with a lot of wrinkles in it (not the intentional vertical ones, but ones from being packed in the bag and some permacreases), that I had to work pretty hard to stream out. It was a beautiful dress, great for the holidays and I would rent it again (in a size small), but it did take some work. Also, they list this as a burnt orange, but it is definitely NOT orange. It is a lovely wine red/burgundy color.

I wore this to a themed event and I felt very comfortable in it. The color is gorgeous and it fits loosely.

Easy to dress up or down, received many compliments on it when worn casually with sneakers and jean jacket and dresses up with a belt, jewelry and heels for a nonprofit fundraiser.

This dress fits so nicely and you can personalize it so many ways.

I'm always between S and M with Madewell but after reading other reviews I went with the small. This fit great except it was a little tight in the sleeves (probably a "me" problem but maybe it's the sacrifice for perfect fit everywhere else?.) I might rent again in Medium to see what I think because it's a great, easy dress that I could see myself owning and wearing through seasons. Would rent again!!!

This dess is simple, classic and best part, it's comfortable. Because of it's simplicity, you can really do a lot to accessorize it and have fun.

This is a sweet shift dress you can dress up or down so easily! The plisse pleating is great to hide flaws. There is a side slit to the knee that allows movement. The color is a beautiful burgundy/wine. I have no idea why anyone would call it burnt orange, but the picture is true to the actual color. I had it on for 5 minutes and wanted to buy it. As a mid-forties woman with a rapidly shifting shape (thanks, menopause) this shows off what I want to accent and hides what I wish would disappear.

I wore this dress to a business appreciation banquet and it was the perfect lightweight, spring dress. I received multiple compliments and people asking where I got it from.

The dress felt very good on the skin. It was not clingy at all, showed no flaws, elegant looking, very comfortable, soft material. May be a bit see through in the sunlight.
