Wore this for a work event and loved it. Very flattering, comfortable and fun to wear.
Great lightweight and stretchy fit - dress easily dress up or down. Good for layering with fall
The dress is true brown paisley, and was perfect for cooler weather. There's an elastic waistband, and my only complaint was that it would bunch up a little bit from time to time and had to be pulled back down. I probably could have worn either size, but I'm smaller up top so I went with the smaller size for a better fit. I wore a regular black bra- the dress is lined and gives good coverage. If you already love Madewell you'll love this dress. I paired it with flats but there are lots of ways to style it.
Super comfortable, fits TTS
Comfortable but didn’t feel very fashionable. Normally I’m a M in dresses but I got a SR and it fit over my hourglass figure (size 34G bust and size 8-12 hips at 5’5”. Somewhere between flattering and unflattering. Overall a safe bet but a meh.
I liked this much better with a belt. I’d love it if it was a petite…always a struggle. Wore to dinner with booties. Would be great for work. Also plan to wear again before returning.
I'm not in love with it but it's a cute peasant dress that looks and fits just how you'd expect. Nothing special, I wore it to dinner and to work with a wool blazer.
This dress was cute and very comfortable. A little bit of a weird fit on top with the mock neck and in the chest but looked nice with boots and sneakers and especially belted :) would consider purchasing!
This was a nice dress once I figured out how to hide the waist. It was way too high and looked really unflattering with a belt. With a vest over it I thought it was nice. Also the pattern was a nice fall pick.
My favorite thing about Madewell is that they run really big -- I am typically more a 6-12 type girl (lol you know how sizes are) but with them I'm Xsmall or 2-4. This dress was cute if belted and oddly enough, worn backwards but without it leaned a lot more maternal/frumpy. I love trying all Madewell though! Great for a 5'1" girl.
I wanted to love this dress! It felt like a giant bag on me. Was much longer on me than in the picture. Didn't do anything for me. Might look better on someone taller than me
Did someone stop and roll down their car window to compliment this dress? Yes. Did that change how I feel about it? Nope, lol. I usually dress pretty modestly but this had me feeling like a Little House on the Prairie character. Wasn’t very flattering either. I’d skip🤷🏻♀️
I’m pretty long waisted. Instead of the higher waist looking drapey, on me it was almost empire. So I had to belt it but still felt kinda weird. It was fine but only wore once. 3/4 sleeves.
I am 20 weeks pregnant so this fit great while still being comfortable. My bump isn't too big but most of my cothes are tight so this was a great alternative for a professional look

The fit was great and very flattering but the neckline made me feel like a school marm. I know that's the style, so if you like that or have a slightly smaller chest to be able to pull it off, this would be super cute and comfortable.

I wore this for Thanksgiving and it was perfect
I loved this dress, but wish I would have gotten it for the fall season instead of summer. It runs a little big, I had to wear a belt with it to give my body a bit more shape.
Came for Taylor. Had to stay for funeral. This dress was what I needed for a last minute rental
Love this dress for work! So comfy and fits so well. The synched waste definitely makes the dress appear so flattering.
Love this dress! This was my second rental and will not be my last! :)
Loved this dress and considered buying it. The fabric is fun without being overwhelming, the fit is perfect, and it's a perfect vibe for fall. I wore it sightseeing and to a musical and fit right in
comfortable and received so many compliments.
Fit well! Even my large boobs fit into this with room to spare! Beautiful, will rent this again!
Wore this for a Fall trip to Paris and it was just great for casual sightseeing/walking around. Dressy enough with the frilly collar for a nice lunch but still casual and comfortable enough for strolling around. Wore with some brown leather boots and a sweater. Would buy this if I could!
There's an elastic band under the boobs(ish) that you can modify to your taste. It was comfortable, light weight and super cute with white sneakers like in the photo. Will rent again!
Good for work
Nice
roomy
neck was too confining
Cute and comfortable. I would add a belt
Really cute dress but in typical Madewell fashion it runs quite long and big. I am 5'4" and the dress was almost a maxi on me.
An easy dress to throw on with flats or white sneakers. I'd agree that this looks best on taller people: I'm 5'10" and still had a few unflattering angles in this; especially if the dress rode up a little. Overall happy I tried it out for work and everyday, but wouldn't rent again
Such a pretty, feminine dress that I paired w sneakers or booties and a leather jacket. It definitely didn't fit me like the model. I'm petite and curvier on the bottom and the torso seemed just a tad short. I think I may size up to S to see if it's more comfortable, but then the skirt would be longer. And even though that would be a different look, it could still be cute
Usually I find high necks really uncomfortable, but this one was fine. This dress worked for a workday, but was a bit large on top so I felt a little “shelf boob-y” and a touch dowdy. I think the waist would have been too small in the S. Would rent again in a pinch if I wanted something flowy and comfy (or if pregnant and hiding it!).
