initially ordered the 30 and found them too large (still figuring out my pregnancy size), so I got the 29 in my next shipment and that was a better fit. I wore them from about 16 to 20 weeks.
I was very happy with this rental because it’s HOT out and my regular shorts are a thing of the past. I went with a size 28. Pre pregnancy I was 140 and a size 26/27 in Madewell, depended how bloated I was in normal life haha. I’m now 155. Yes these are very very low. You will need to wear longer shirts. Overall, was very happy for a staple piece in my rentals and keeping for a second month.
These fit well and don’t look “maternity.”
I ended up buying because they are such a good pregnancy staple. I hate a belly band so I was so excited to find these just had the expansion joints! I do wish they were a little higher rise but the length and width of the legs make up for it. Finally feel like I found some maternity shorts that are such an appropriate and flattering length and cut!
Wore frequently in my 3rd trimester & postpartum
I kept these shorts all summer for my pregnancy, they were perfect! Pre pregnancy I was a size 6. I would recommend sizing up for extra waist room. The shorts fit through week 37 and then felt tight.
I have been wearing these nonstop. They’re super comfortable if you’re carrying high.
Overall Fit
Just right
I ordered these one size down from my pre maternity size (25) because that was all that was available, and they fit at 18 weeks, but I still prefer a larger size with not as snug a fit. They are LOW. I am going to order my pre-maternity size and see how the 26 fits at 19 weeks.
These run huge. I’m normally a 28, didn’t realize that Madewell pants run so big, and the maternity pants run even bigger. These were too big to wear 2nd trimester for me
I was a size 26 pre-pregnancy and took a chance on size 29 in these as it was the only size available. I had these in my second tri to the beginning of my third trimester, and they didn't work for me, even though they're cute. While they fit in the waist as my stomach got bigger, the thighs were huge. A 28 or 27 probably would have worked for me. I was around 120 before pregnancy and around 150 now in my third trimester.
Shorts were falling off at 22 weeks pregnant (rented my pre-pregnancy madewell size).
Fit was ok but definitely maxed out when I went from the 2nd to the third trimester.
Overall Fit
Runs small
Very short length than described not recommended for petite people
The leg openings kind of flared out a bit. Not a deal breaker and fit was good but I had another pair of maternity Jean shorts that looked better.
I’m sure these would be great up until about 30 weeks but if your bump is big, they are a little pinchy when seated.
did not fit at all, despite being recommended to order my original size. Way too small.
