Velvet Tie Front Dress

I wore this for my son's cotillion Holly Ball near Christmas. It was very comfortable, festive, and easy to wear. The sleeves were bigger/puffier than I expected but my friends loved the dress. I ordered a 2 and a 4 and wore the larger size because we would be dancing and going out to dinner afterwards. No regrets on this one. Great for a holiday party.

This was a very comfortable dress. No spanx needed woohoo! On the website the sleeves look like they are made of flimsy chiffon but they are actually a nice fabric that kept my arms warm. One size down would have been ideal but RTR only had one left to rent during the holiday season. Goes to show how popular this dress is! It was the perfect thing to wear to a Christmas party. I got lots of compliments.

This dress was really comfortable and fun to wear and I got a lot of compliments during a November wedding. Loves the velvet and sleeves. I got size 4 and 6 and honestly could have worn either but the back zipper on the 6 bulged out a little making me self conscious so I went with the 4.

I’m usually a 0-2 and the 2 was perfect! Definitely could not have worn anything smaller. The velvet part is more fitted than I typically wear but it’s a classy dress and I got lots of compliments. I’m 5’3” and it was a great length above the knee. I thought the sleeves were going to be sheer but it’s a thicker silky fabric that’s much prettier in person. Great rental! Perfect for a holiday party!

Wore this to a holiday party and it was perfect. Festive and fun, but appropriate enough for work colleagues. The 8 was a little tight, so I went with the 10. 5’5” & 165lbs. Post partum and my usual size is an M or an L.

Loved this dress for a wedding rehearsal dinner! Wish it were lined a bit thicker as you could see the seam of my tights but oh well! Lots of compliments

The fabric is comfortable and forgiving. The sleeves are fun. Really loved the color and the fact that I didn’t have to purchase any special undergarments to wear this dress.

Rented this for a holiday party. The velvet is stunning and the bow throws it over the top. A zillion compliments. I rented this months in advance and am so happy I did.

I loved everything about the dress except for the sleeves. There’s a little extra fabric connecting the sleeve and the shoulder of the dress. This made me look wider, if I tucked it in, the dress would have been perfect! Comfy and a little stretch.

This dress was great for my husband's work holiday party, and I got lots of compliments. I wanted something that showed off my figure without accentuating my stomach too much, and the bow ended up being a good way for me to do this. The sleeves were a little bigger than I expected, but they added flair, so I didn't feel like I needed much jewelry. I typically wear a 0 or 2 in dresses and a 2 or 4 in pants and the 2 fit well. If you wear larger than XS tops, you might need a larger size up top.

I love a statement sleeve, but this was overwhelming. That being said, I received a ton of compliments at my company holiday party. It was January in Nebraska so I styled with black tights and sparkly black boots. This was 5 months postpartum and I felt comfortable.

Pro: Beautiful velvet dress with structured sleeves Cons: The zipper popped open and exposed my backside while I was dancing! (I couldn't zip it myself, so had to get help in the bathroom!) It was also short enough that my shapewear peaked out the bottom when sitting and dancing. Felt beautiful but maybe skip if you like to dance :)

I wore this to several holiday events - loads of compliments. I absolutely loved this dress. I think I need the next size down, or I would have been tempted to buy it. The mix of fabrics. And the color. I loved it! It was also very comfortable and easy to wear (I wasn't worried about a low cut, or sitting down and the skirt riding up or sequins catching on themselves - this ended up being a holiday party dress that I could just enjoy the moment while wearing - and still look fabulous :-)

I normally wear a Size 14 in workwear, but I read that the dress runs large - so my backup size was a size 12. I tried the 12 first and it fit wonderfully! The bow in the front does an excellent job hiding post-meal bloat. I paired with opaque black tights, black suede ankle boots, and the Furla Sequin Mini Crossbody Bag from RTR. The purse paired beautifully with iridescent green hues and predominant red-coral coloring. I'm so happy with this outfit!

Super cute dress for a work holiday party - received so many compliments! Typically wear a size 4 but was only available in a 6; worked out perfectly fine since the tie is real and can be used to cinch the waist. Not too short for those of us with long legs. Recommend!

Perfect to hide your arms and show off your legs. Felt so comfortable and I noticed the next morning I could see on the inside that I definitely spilled a drink or two on it 🤪 (could see on the inside) but the outside velvet didn’t show anything!! 10/10
