Loved the color palette, the design and even the unexpectedly soft fabric but the fit was all wrong on me. I’m petite and curvy, so maybe not the ideal body type for this dress. IMO the fabric is too thin & soft which wouldn’t allow the right side seam with the zipper to lie flat. Maybe it’s better suited to someone with more of a thin or athletic build.
Lightweight cotton so you look fall-ish when it's still 80 or 90 degrees! Wore with flip-flops and cowboy boots. I'm consistently a 38 in Isabel Marant but I probably could have worn the 36 in this one. However, I loved the way the 38 hinted at my curves but in a languid, body skimming way rather than a constrictive fitted way. Might not work for petites because the length was just right on my 5' 8" frame. Received tons of compliments and would buy if it wasn't excluded from all promos.
I had high hopes for this but it is really weird- side seams are very wonky and wavy. The plaid is so fall-like but the fabric is very very light cotton. Maybe on a very tall person everything would fall into place but this really looked like a home-ec project on me.
Maybe it was just too big?? The fabric is light so the zipper bulged out in a weird way. It also made me look like I had a gut. Super odd fit. I think if you sized down and wore it really tight it might work?? I'm bummed.
