Poppy Shirred Waist Dress

Seriously well-made. The puffy sleeves are the exact amount of razzle dazzle I thrive on. The band was not tight. The smocking hit all the right places on the torso. Larger cup sizes beware, depending on which setting you plan to wear it in. Plan for a cami under for a more conservative look. The split does go far up on the thigh when seated. I’m stating all these things so you’re not surprised when you receive the dress but truly they are not negatives. All very tastefully done. The material is quite light, great for winter/spring transition or fall/winter transition. TTS. Worn to church and work.

I was expecting a more elegant fabric, but it actually turned out to be perfect for the event I wore it to. It's a very light cotton dress but with the right accessories it can look fancy.

It's cotton so it arrives wrinkly. Have a steamer available. The length hit me weirdly midcalf (I'm 5'4") but the slit on one leg helps the look.

I am between a 12/14 and I went with the XL. It fit fine but I think I could have sized down. Either way you would be fine with whatever size is available for you. Of course I’m the biggest pockets fan there is, so this was a big winner in my book! Great comfy work dress!

I thought this might look matronly but the high slit and cinched waist keeps it youthful! Puffy sleeves. No fuss dress if you’re tall enough. Can size down if you’re an hourglass. The slit might not be corporate work friendly. Came up mid thigh on me.

This is a cute, simple piece. The cotton fabric is thin and unlined, but still nice quality. Beautiful earth tones in the pattern made it easy to accessorize. I usually wear a L but ended up getting the M since that’s what was available. That was a gamble for me since smaller sizes never fit me, but it worked perfectly. The elastic around the ribs and sleeves was fitted without being too tight. The balance of the dress was very forgiving. There’s also a cute slit on the left side.

The print on this dress is fun, and the dress itself looks best in motion when you can see the slit. Because it is cotton, the fabric doesn't drape and tends to bunch around the top. It will definitely need to be ironed when it arrives. The puffed sleeves were too wide for my liking and the smocking adds a bit of thickness around the waist. Overall it's a perfectly serviceable summer dress, but not one of my favs.

Prepregnancy im about 135-140 lbs. I grew a ton my first trimester and this fit the whole way!

Liked it, got compliments, but as someone in her 50s I felt like the puffy sleeves were too much for me. But it didn't stop me from wearing it.

This was an easy, effortless summer rental. The dress is a thin cotton poplin. It does wrinkle easily but the pattern disguises some of this. Detailing is minimal- light smocking below the bust and on the sleeves. There is a side slit in the skirt but it stays closed and isn’t too high. Deep pockets, midi length. TTS. I’m 32/26/36 and XS fit well. Overall, it was a flattering and effortless dress but it’s lacking a wow factor, isn’t particularly well made, and requires steaming.

Incredibly flattering - great v neckline without needing tank or shirt under for modesty. Wore to a wedding shower and out to dinner. Flattering and cute without looking too young.

Comfortable and light and airy

My chest is larger and I had to wear a minimizing bra to be able to wear it, but that worked. Would not fit with my regular padded bra. Received compliments, very comfortable.

Needed to be ironed, has pockets, better for the summer or spring. I wore with a warm white coat and boots. I live in the Central Coast of CA so I can pull it off without freezing.

I absolutely love this dress. It is light enough for a hot summer day. It has structure without being stuffy or restrictive. Super comfortable and surprisingly sexy with the leg slit.

Dress was a hit! The cut is flattering for a large bust and the fabric is light. I was very comfortable in it - even on a humid day!
