The dress fit true to size and the fabric is the softest I’ve ever worn. The shoulder pads modernize the look and the high slit is just the right amount of “Va-va-voom” needed for confidently sexy. Wish I could keep it - but lots of compliments all night! 🖤

Loved this dress! Went to a black tie wedding with the assignment to wear black during a cooler month. It was so appropriately sexy yet classy.

Was worried about the material of this dress showing every bump and flaw but it was just the opposite, this dress made me look snatchhhhhed, and was so comfortable!! Rent it!

Tight fit but super flattering with the corset paneling. Perfect floor length when wearing 3 inch heels. Definitely warm with the long sleeves, so perfect for a winter event.

I ended up going with another option. However, definitely keeping this one in my back pocket for another winter black tie event! I sized down here for a more polished fit and it was perfect.

Loved this dress! It was perfect for the wedding we attended in the Dolomites. Being that it’s so full coverage velvet, it did a great job keeping me warm, while still being fun and sexy with the mesh midsection. Would rent again for another formal winter event.

Beautiful dress that made me look my best. Curious that the size 4 that I wore had had the shoulder pad removed while the backup size 6 had them intact. Probably would have looked better with them, but I liked the closer fit. The corset area adds fun interest without showing any skin (hey! New England is cold in December!) Accurate pictures. My first time using RTR and I’ll be a repeat customer.

I really love this dress. no complaints, except the shoulder pads really could be replaced. They were a little lumpy and wonky, but once you position them correctly, you can't tell while you're wearing the dress. it's fit true to size size down.If you want it to be a little bit more form fitting, i suggest sizing down, it has a lot of stretching it.

I imagine this dress would be harder to wear with a larger chest, as it might not hit correctly like other reviews mentioned. But, it fit be perfectly! Heavy, flattering and forgiving material!

Wore this to a black tire business event. Perfect balance of professional but fun with the slit. The fit was spot on and the velvet was very forgiving.

Love the dress overall. Great for a formal affair. Definitely a cool weather dress. The center looks sheer but it’s opaque and a diff material. It isn’t transparent. The fabric gave. I wish I would have ordered a 10 on most of the body but the busy… this is definitely made for smaller busted ladies. The line that should run under the bust hit right in the middle of mine. I am DD, so it definitely wouldn’t hit the right spot. The velvet also caught on my panty hose while I walked because it was velvet. Not the end of the world, but I definitely felt the pull when I moved. Overall, lovely dress that I felt very comfortable in.

Wore to a Denver wedding and it was perfect. It kept me warm without me being hot, and the slit added the right amount of sass. Will rent again for weddings this winter!

Was between this and the other dress for a March wedding and ended up going with the one that would be less hot. Extremely flattering dress though!

The panel across the middle is a matte fabric with velvet piping at the top and bottom. The piping does not lie flat. It's a very flattering dress, regardless.

Loved this dress so much! Very classy. The “see through mesh” is not see through at all but adds a little sass to the velvet long dress. I would wear again!

I am 7 weeks postpartum and am extremely self conscious of the weight I gained during pregnancy. This dress was more than I could’ve ever asked for… very slimming, slit was just perfect on the side, and I loved the silhouette it gave me. If you are on the fence, do it. This one doesn’t disappoint. I would’ve purchased it if it wasn’t so pricey.

Wore this to a black tie optional gala and it was perfect for late November. The sleeves and thickness of material made it warm, but the slit gave it a little sexiness that was great for a work event. I am very short so it touched the floor in short heels but overall length was fine.
