Drop Waist Velvet Dress

Such a gorgeous dress and really comfy. Wore it for a wedding at the Sydney Opera House. However, the chest is HUGE. I'm a 36DD and had tons of extra room. Needed tape to feel comfortable with the deep v and looseness of the top.

Better be tall enough to handle this, otherwise perfect

I absolutely loved this dress - very elegant, comfortable and fashionable. Others commented on the plunging neckline and arm holes but neither were an issue for me.

Stunning formal dress, comfortable to wear although it is cut quite low in the front and sides. I chose to wear a black bandeau underneath for coverage. Would definitely rent again!

I wore this dress to a formal, country club wedding. It fit well; the arm holes are deep and may show side boob, however, the front panel is wide enough to cover everything. The skirt is gorgeous and soft - it’s four layers of fabric so it drapes and flows as you walk. Just be careful - the top layer is soft mesh that can tear and pull easily. A gorgeous dress!

I have never received so many compliments in my life - bride, wedding party, family friends, grandparents, random people at the bar afterwards. I absolutely loved this dress and I wish I had an excuse to wear it again. I normally wear a 6 and sized down based on other reviews and the 4 fit well. I loved the length hitting just above the ankle and felt like the neckline was sexy but still classy for a formal wedding. I used boob tape (easy to use given shoulder/back coverage) to perk the girls up a bit but could go without just as easily. Danced all night and was beyond comfortable. Rent her !!!!!

I didn’t realize it was velvet on the top but was so glad that it was! Perfect for a winter black tie wedding. The contrast in the material of the top and plunging neckline with the bottom of the gown is just gorgeous! I loved the waistline- very flattering

I'm typically a 10 but went with an 8 based on reviews, it fit perfectly.

I wore this for a black tie wedding, great style, fit well and super comfortable to have on all day. Length was great, I wore flats but would have also worked with heels

So beautiful and flattering. The top is fairly structured, and the skirt is quite full and very flow-y. Highly recommend sizing down, especially if you are sometimes between sizes.

loved this dress! definitely need to get creative to strap the girls down but overall a huge win. others said this was too long. im 5'2" and the size 0 was the perfect length

this was a last minute dress choice because the dress I initially ordered wasn’t able to be sent due to damage - I was disappointed and unsure if I made the right choice after reading reviews here on the lose top. It ended up being a great choice - the top stayed put throughout my recital and I was very comfortable. It was also super pretty! Alls well that ends well ~ sizing was a bit strange, the 0 worked well for me but I’m usually a 2/4

I wore this to a gala and it was a hit! I love the elegance of the dress and received so many compliments. I’m 5’2” 130lbs and the 0 fit like a glove.

Loved the dress and the quality. I am 5' 7" tall and weigh around 180 pounds. The dress was really a deep cut in the front and on the sides. I wore a cami to help with the plunge in the front and cover the area under my arms. Dress has built in shoulder pads and is very long. I wore the tallest shoes I could find. Overall, I loved it felt good in it.

The skirt fit beautifully- it was full and great to twirl around in. The top was a little big and you can’t wear a bra with it. But some fashion tape held everything in place

Super comfy and got a ton of compliments on the dress. I am 5'2 and the dress was pretty long on me. It worked better with 3" heels. I'd size down as I'm typically a size 4 and ended up wearing a size 0

The 12 was a bit large up top, but the 10 didn’t lay as well, so I used some fashion tape and made it work. It felt great, and I didn’t feel exposed. I danced all night, and this dress was perfect for that! I would definitely rent this one again!

You need to size down at LEAST 1 size, if you have a smaller chest I would recommend 2. I taped the dress and made it work but I definitely wish I ordered the 4.

Soooo comfy, very low cut so have to be comfortable with the deep v, but the panels were wide so still did a great job with a little tape if larger chested.

I received SO many compliments on my dress at the wedding I went to! It’s super flattering and so easy to wear. The top section is velvet and has some stretch but is still structurally sound, and I never felt like I was in any danger of a nip slip or anything like that. My only complaint is that the zipper is a little tough to get up at the point where the bodice and skirt meet—it’s working past a lot of fabric, so a second pair of hands was really helpful.

Loved the cut of this dress! Just cut low enough to be sexy and classy as the same time. Made of great material. After having surgery and gaining some weight this dress was comfy, hid flaws and highlighted the right areas.

The shoulder pads were my only complaint because i already have large shoulders, so they made my shoulder look even larger. Overall I would give this dress a 9/10. Very beautiful!!

This dress is gorgeous but extremely low cut in the middle and side boobs. I am very small chested so went without a bra. BUT, I call it a standing only dress because once I sat down it bulged and it would show EVERYTHING!! Luckily I was at standing cocktail event!

This dress was exactly what I wanted for a destination wedding elegant and with a dramatic shape. It was heavy in fabric: velvet top and toile skirt. I don’t mind a deep v and didn’t wear a bra. It’s true to size.

I went down by a size due to comments and it was perfect. I was able to wear a regular black bra.

I got this dress for a wedding and it was perfect. I was a little self conscious about the cleavage since the cut is low but it was fine. I ordered a size 8 and got the 10 free just in case but the 8 held me in better since that’s my normal size. I’m 5’4, 160, and wear a 36D. I used lots of fabric tape and a bodysuit with a low cut to hold everything in place. Boob tape works too! I felt comfortable and lovely in it.

Effortless yet best dressed. Wore this to a YSL fall fashion event and all the heads turned. Received several compliments including, you look like a princess and your look is perfection. Rent this! You will feel like royalty.

This dress was a great choice! It fit me very well - the neckline and armpits were a bit low but I was able to make it work with a black plunge bra so even if it peeked through, it blended with the dress. Got a ton of compliments and felt very comfortable in it all night! The only thing to note is that the shoulders are padded and were quite prominent but I didn’t even notice them after wearing the dress for a bit.

Maybe I have a smaller chest (32B) but I wore a 0 and it was too large for me. It did stay in place but I didn't feel totally comfortable. I also did not realize the bottom is tulle. I thought it was more of a brownish color and I didn't really like that detail but I had no other option for a dress.
