On its own, it was just OK but under a blazer it was great

This was kind of hard to style for me, personally, but overall, the variation in stripes is fun. I didn't use the side button because I tucked it in, couldn't make the side button look good.

Boxy fit, Might run a tiny bit on the larger side, but it's structured enough to wear it loose and not look messy. Got a few compliments on it at work. It's comfy and easy.

Nothing wrong with the shirt just wasn't my all time fav style. Don't totally know how to style. Also wore with black trousers and white loafers for work.

love the button detail on the side. it creates that "effortless" look that everyone knows takes some styling to achieve. in a good way. fits as expected, a little loose fitting on its own, but the side button plus a belt make it feminine and work appropriate. great piece overall

Really liked this shirt for work. It’s a more interesting take on a classic style. I wore with jeans and a midi skirt.

Great shirt— sleeves were short on me (common) so I wore them rolled up with the shirt tucked in to work. Not much of an issue with gapping at the bust. I liked the classic look, but that it was still unique and fun, with the two different patterns. Will rent again and may buy.

You don’t expect much from Madewell, but this shirt is great. It can be worn buttoned normally, as well.

This style surprised me! I love the cool structural trend element to it. I found the side button to be flattering as it created a nice cinch at the waist. I would rent it for work and pair it with jeans or neutral trousers.

A little oversized

I like the asymmetrical design but same can be done with a brooch. Which I added anyway

I loved that I could wear this to a winery event and casually. The shirt design was very cute but I wish the sleeves were more fitted. It has a baggy look around the arms.

I was a little too busty to use the side button feature of this shirt although I am wearing it with the side button in the picture. When I wore it to work I just had it buttoned regularly. Love the stripes. Pretty lightweight.

Shoulders and arms a little big but had room for the chest. The button over feature gave it some shape. In person I felt put together but then I saw myself on a video call and it made me look a lot bigger than I am!

It ran bigger than expected, so I wore it open, over a tank top. Also, one half has more bold stripes than the other half, so I thought it looked weird for business.

Nothing special but rented to add stripes under this colorful jacket and it served its purpose. Did not wear on its own.

The picture on the model looked playful while professional, but didn’t work out on me.

Didn't love the fit with additional button to cinch waist but loved the design and wore to couple different client meetings

It looked great and is a nice shirt. I wanted it for the asymmetrical button but it kept riding up throughout the day and i had to keep adjusting it

Easy to wear and the alternating sized stripes makes it an elevated basic

Loved wearing this with heels. Be aware, the area around the stomach does not hang flat, it can be a bit fluffy.

I'm a solid size 14 these days and the L fit perfectly. I had previously rented the XL and was swimming in it.

I loved the side button that added shape to an oversized button down!

Looks good with pants untucked, or tucked into a skirt. Love that you can wear it different ways. The different stripe patterns are so fun, too. Fit perfectly. Total win. Might keep it.

This is a great work top. The pictures don't do it justice. It has two different stripe patterns, one of which is very thin and tightly spaced, so it looks blurry in some of the pictures but interesting in person. The different stripe patterns make it a little edgier than a classic striped button-down. I wasn't sure I'd like the side button, but now that I've seen how it works, I want one on all of my button-downs. You can ignore the side button and button straight up and down like a normal shirt (but it will fit large this way, since it's sized with some extra room to allow for the side button), but if you use the side button, it creates a cinched look and moves the lower buttons off-center. It's a very flattering look. The fabric has a "crisp" feel and doesn't wrinkle easily.

Love this. Wore three ways. Open with a cami, closed normal, and closed with the weird side button buttoned. I’m keeping and might buy. Very good summer top. Love the different stripes. Wore to work and out and about and at home. Washes and dries well.

Nice alternate stripes, but slightly too big but smaller would be too tight. Wore it to work with black pants three times. Wouldn’t rent again
