I wore this dress on the “big night out” during a business trip to France. The long sleeve and long length of the dress made it feel classy and appropriate to wear around other business people and colleagues. The red was perfect from the night and I enjoyed the slight stretch the dress provided for a big dinner.
True to size cool enough for a socal wedding but didnt feel like i was going to overheat due the weight of the material the dress was made out of. I did have to use double-sided tape on the non-sleeve side to keep my bra from peaking out from the top but needed make sure it didnt peak out from the cut-out either; keep in mind you def cant wear any type of shapewear either due to where the cut out is located and the height of it. Otherwise it was perfect for a last minute rental. Would rent this again.
This dress is so comfortable, and flattering!
Ultimately, I wore another, this felt like too much of a moment dress for the party I was going to - I wasn’t the bday girl! But uf you want a wow go for it!
Loved this dress! Color was great and the fit was perfect. Fabric was of great quality and did NOT feel cheap. Lots of compliments and I felt sexy! Only reason for the 4 stars would be the neckline. I had to use hem tape around the entire neckline so that the hem would not flip up. Was simple but would have been better if it was already tacked down.
Gorgeous dress but a little more height and it would have fit like a glove. It was a little big on the side both under the arm and where the cut out was so it didn't really lay as flat as it could have and it created extra bunching in the middle. Also, a little part of my bra showed but it was the color of my skin so not noticeable. The sleeve was also a little long. All in all I'd say it runs TTS to slightly big depending on your height.
Red hot cutouts and a-symmetry are on-trend and forgiving of less-than-perfect figures

This is a dress on fire with style and is very comfortable to wear. The cutout doesn't hug the skin so there aren't any embarrassing folds peeking through when you're sitting. Other reviews liked the material, I thought it felt and wore like a thicker knit nylon. I was expecting more of a soft jersey feel and instead had a smooth synthetic. The material did not bunch and it doesn't show lines and it covers flaws. The color is a tomato red and will work with a variety of complexions. Likewise the cut will be flattering on many different body types.
Fit
As a brand, Alexis doesn't really have a true size 4 so I, and presumably other women like me, have difficulty finding the right fit. Additionally, Alexis also isn't great with fitting larger cup sizes on smaller frames. I often order this brand to fit my chest and then have too much fabric in the waist and this dress was no exception to my other experiences with the brand. This dress fit much closer to a 6 than a 4 and as a result, it gaped in the back and side. I was able to offset some of this with the tie and if I were to try it again, I would go with a size 2 because the material has stretch to it.
This dress was so fun to wear and the color is stunning- I got many compliments. However, it was not without issues. The material is thick and stretchy and the inside lining kept slipping up along the top and showing- I had to use fashion tape to keep it laying flat across my chest. Also, the top portion of the dress runs large, while the bottom half runs true to size. For reference I am 5’8”, 155lbs, 34D, hourglass shape, dress size 10. I wore a large. I probably could have worn a medium but would have been tighter on me through the hips.
Also, I ended up not wearing a bra because the band of my strapless was showing because of the cut-out on the side so keep that in mind. I did have to wear silicone nipple covers because the dress is unlined. All of those things made the dress not so easy to wear but it was worth it. Such a fun style, totally on trend with the asymmetry and side cut-out. If you have time to get the correct undergarments, I’d say go for it!
This isn’t normally my style but I’ve been craving an off the shoulder. It was fairly flattering and the thickness of the fabric made me feel sucked in. I feel like I was in between the S and M because it didn’t hug at my waist as much as I would have liked, possibly leading to me feeling a bit boxy in it.
This was a very comfortable dress that also looked elegant. I felt like the material wasn’t super flattering, but it was still a good choice for a wedding.
Got so many compliments on this dress, wore it out to a nice dinner during the holidays. A man crossed the restaurant before his way out just to compliment me on it.
As others have noted, this felt more secure with tape. Also as noted, there was some bunching around the cutout in the back. Maybe not the best choice fit-wise if you have a smaller chest.
Medium was too baggy on me and the material was warmer/thicker than I expected. Also tough to wear a bra with the side slit. Didn’t work for me but I love the color and cut - it would be great for a fall or winter event.
I'm a 34c and the chest fits way too large. It's also longer than expected. I'm a little over 5'4 and it's reaching my ankles. Won't be able to wear it.
